And my fairly loaded 2013 SCAB was $46,000 with beadlocks!

For sure, the Gen1 could be found cheaper, I know cause I had one that I traded in on this one. The Gen1 was my favorite truck of all time. My wife had to talk me into getting rid of it. Two months of "You need to get the new Raptor". Made me sick to do it. That being said, that truck was not this truck. With the exception of the exhaust tone, this truck is better in EVERY WAY. I do not say that lightly. I did not believe that a better truck could possibly be built. This one is most definitely quieter, smoother, smarter, easier to use...And not to ever knock on Gen1 owners out there, I wish I could have both of them, the Gen1 will ALWAYS be cheaper than the Gen2, and the Gen2 will ALWAYS be cheaper than the Gen3. This thread is out here to simply let people know that they need to shop around, honest dealers are out there, NO NEED TO PAY OVER MSRP.

Actually I started this thread and the gen1 thread for dealers selling near invoice only! It's morphed into 'hey I got a gen2 at MSRP'. That's not what this thread was designed for! MSRP is 5-6K more!

I stand corrected WyoStorm, went back to the post beginning, see the argument you were making. Big difference between Invoice and MSRP. Probably should have gone back 34 pages to see how the post began. With up to $20K markups over MSRP, I wanted to get it out there that some dealers aren't being RIDICULOUS with there pricing. Good luck to all whom can get there trucks below MSRP.

Gen 2 at near invoice is going to take a while, if that happens at all. Folks may be waiting a long time for that to happen.

Agree. Question is, is it in 2018, 2019 or 2020.

Well there are those who claimed to be able to get their orders at invoice back in 2016. So you could say it's already happened, but those are still unicorns. Realistically though I think we'll hear invoice being more commonplace by the end of this year. Not most sales, but something that's achievable without a special connection.

There are 850 units on cars.com right now, and that's just cars.com. Even accounting for old ads, etc., there are easily over a thousand units (likely thousands) available today if you want one. Finding an open allocation to order your own spec is a little harder but that's readily available too with a little effort. There's no shortage of trucks.

Many many dealers will continue to let Raptors sit on their lots and showrooms with big markups while other dealers start dealing. But usually by 12mos, the accountants and GMs decide they have to move old inventory, usually before the next model year starts arriving.

I would be surprised if people weren't getting discounts off MSRP by year end, especially into 2018. In 2018 there should be a "invoice dealer" thread populated with dealers moving trucks at or near invoice, some even beyond since there is pretty big holdback in these trucks.

I think @DROPOUT was getting invoice if I recall correctly from one of the early threads. I'm really thinking about ordering an 18. This thread helped my find my 14 for $500 over invoice at Morgan Hill. Hopefully we see some dealers hit this list for the GEN 2's

So.... "deals" on Gen 1's from 3 years ago are not really relevant to the current Market on Gen 2's.

And ordering and waiting an unknown length of time is a "cost".... Just saying.
Pay me now or pay me later. :ROFLJest:
