I think that will take longer than you think. There are people with excess spending money that are willing to drop the cash to be one of the "first". It is sad but true that a fool and his money will soon go their separate ways, for some it will just happen to be at a Ford dealership.

I disagree that someone that works hard to have excess spending money and then buying something they want is a fool.....

I guess I should have quoted the poster above my reply, if you are paying the ADMs that some people on here are quoting that dealers are charging, I feel you are. $20K-30K markup? Are you kidding that's 30+% OVER MSRP. It cost money to be first, if you can get one at a decent deal, then so be it. For *me*, right now, *I* say paying MSRP is a good deal that *I* am willing to part with some of my (fool) money, others here might completely disagree and tell me I was robbed because I paid more than dealer invoice. Next year, or even in 2019, maybe MSRP will be considered a bad deal, maybe it won't.

Just taking a quick look through ebay it appears they are getting $5k+ adm although i didn't see as many as i thought i would. The $10k+ adm "buy it now" seem to be sitting.

Yes I agree with the $20-$30K....that's ridiculous....I can understand paying $5K though as trucks seem to be selling at that and quite honestly if I found the perfect truck I might pay it as well ($5K).....there is what I consider just about perfect in Silver (perfect for me is Avalanche) close by but the dealer is stuck at $10K over....

they want $39,500 plus my 2015 GMC Sierra Denali....I offered $34K and my truck....

I am running into a similar problem here in SC, everyone wants $5K over, I even went in pre-approved from USAA and offered MSRP, with no luck. It doesn't help the one that showing up has a sticker of just over $71K without the ADM.

$5K seems to be the going rate across the country....I guess it's a gamble to wait it out.....could come down in a few weeks with more stock coming in....or might not.....no matter what trucks are moving at $5K ADM

I have an "order" for $1000 under MSRP through USAA.....dealer says he has an allocation but we'll see....honestly my patience is running thin so if I found something I might move on it....

Got to test drive a G2 yesterday at my local dealership. Great truck and I would consider parting way with my G1 for it. But this dealer Ed Wittmeier Ford in Chico CA wanted $37K over MSRP, bring this truck up around $104k ! Holy shit! This dealer is known for markups, but this is out of the park. I informed them I will be patient and order mine at no higher than MSRP.

Wow, that is crazy. That's the highest I've seen so far. $20k over MSRP here in southern CA is the new going rate.
