i said OVER sticker *******. and yes, it is my opinion that you are an idiot if you pay over sticker because it is not worth it. if you are butt hurt about it, get off the internet.

Well I guess I read it wrong. That's what I get for reading it at 530am. So glad you called me a *******. Your kind words will motivate me throughout the day.

So glad there are internet tough guys out there. Makes the world go around!

I encourage you to share your wonderful positive attitude with everyone you see.

Well I had a deal at sticker and passed - to me, paying sticker for a truck is still paying a premium, just less of a premium than some.

I'm trying to figure out if msrp (which I have e an offer for now) is worth getting the truck around January vs waiting another 5 months to see about pricing and delivery delay. Obviously demand will go down but who knows if these will ever (or within the next half year) start selling to some extent close to invoice pricing.

Im in the same boat. I would seriously consider canceling my -$500 msrp order if it means I can buy the same $66k truck for $55k in a year. And even that is a couple thousand over invoice right now.

Are you sure difference in invoice and msrp is that big? I am thinking $66k is closer to $60k invoice.

It hurts that dealers will go that far to sell a vehicle. I got it, families need to be fed and so forth, etc... I think if you have the money, then buy what you like or love. I have no money, but I love this truck. I waited 3 1/2 years to get to the Gen2. I paid less than any dealer can ever come close to beating due to my job and location. (Don't ask how much because it's not the point,) The point is investment and wasting money. For us middle class folks, this may sound a bit common, therefore IMO this is definitely an investment. Enjoy your hard earn money. No regrets!

sub'd to see if west coast dealers get close to invoice. Morgan Hill (my usual go to dealer) won't even take a deposit for a 2018

Ha! Everyone I have talked to is $15k to $30k over!

I'm not in a hurry. I want to order a 2018 with the new stereo anyways. Idaho has some decent deals and inventory coming in. 67k for a screw loaded with 802A. Morgan Hill used to be my spot. They're doing MSRP but are out of allocations for now and not taking 2018 deposits in case production gets ramped up and they get more allocations.

Doubtful Raptor will see any manufacturer incentives until there are literally thousands sitting on dealer lots, and that is a long ways off, if it ever happens.

But moral of the story, even though Raptor is only a few percent of F150 sales, they are hemorrhaging sales so bad right now that the last thing Ford would want to do is hold back on Raptor production when buyers are literally lining up and paying full price or more.

Still might be awhile though before they catch up to demand.

If there continues to be 20-30K ADMs, there may very well end up being thousands on lots.
