Going June 29 / 30. Any recomendations on hotels would be appreciated along any other info. Picked up truck 4/26 a week ago. I am surprised at the attention it gets when driving.

Pictures. Or it never happened.

Previous poster in this thread had an airbnb recommendation I think, check back on earlier posts.

and welcome, btw.

I'd like to do this and add on the track day in the Mustang, but I have two issue's with that (1) it's a GT and not GT350 and (2) the discounted price is $1500 for the day.

Would be interested in reading more reviews about the Raptor Assault program though. Utah is a long way from MI for me to do this.

Unfortunately, you can only bring your Dad as a guest to the reception. Dont think you can even pay for another driver. They allocate a spot to a driver and his/her VIN.

That kinda sucks. I'll probably pass, don't really want to make the trip solo.

They said it's experimental so that sounds like they may open it up eventually.

I just got back from the RA. Don't pass this up. It was unbelievable how much fun it is. Everyone I was with had a blast. Well worth the trip from anywhere in the country. It also shows you how to use the truck better as well as how capable the truck is in many situations. You get to beat up the same truck you bought as if it was a rental. So much fun.

I also did the second day mustang race school. Just because it is not a gt350 doesn't mean hey are not fast. The majority of us can not drive a mustang GT to the full capabilities let alone a gt350. They do try to get you to though. It was fun but in a more intense way.

Both programs are well worth it. I would definitely recommend the raptor assault and the mustang race program if you can afford it.

The comfort inn sucks. Stay in salt lake, or I would try he Holiday inn express in Tooele. It is at least across the street from a brewery. Don't get too excited though. TRhe brewery is only allowed to serve 4% beers. Weird Utah laws.

You're crazy if you don't take this opportunity. Ford did a good job with this program.

Along with they can't serve you a second beer until you finish the first....last I was there a few years ago anyway.

Glad you enjoyed it!

In SLC now, the draft beers are a no go. Bottles and cans are a better choice.

The Comfort Inn is rated #1 on Tripadvisor. Curious why everyone hates it. Only great reviews on TA. I've used it extensively and have had very good experiences.

142 reviews.
136 excellent or very good.

For around $100 a night, not sure what everyone expects?
