Yes. They give you them or you can bring your own. It's really not needed but they have you wear them for the short track demo at Ford Performance and for the Baja/race course at the end of the day. The rest of the time you can go without the helmet.

I easily made an 8:00 flight, and I had time to stop for dinner, return the rental, and was still there in plenty of time.

I just did the same thing. Was hoping to go this year. Bummer.
