Just curious about the using of someone else's VIN to let a 2nd person enjoy the class as well. It is a shame they won't allow for you to pay for someone else. Do they not know who's name is attached to what VIN #? So you show up with you and ? and you got a VIN number from another owner who is not going to use it, do they not ask for any kind of ID attached to that VIN? Maybe they don't care as long as the VIN is valid. Thanks....

I think they do a bit Id like it to be that easy but I remember when I was going through the process with mine I could let a spouse or son/daughter or brother/sister do it in my place. I could go for the dinner the first night if I did this but could not take part in the actual course.
An interesting fact with my situation is I bought my 2017 used in September of 2918 and went online and registered it and got a call that there was an opening for October 2018 so I got in.
Everyone at the Course was surprised I was able to do it with a used Raptor even the instructors I believe tho thAt as long as the VIN wasn’t used previously your able to go.
Or maybe I got lucky either way it was a great experience

I wonder if you could just grab a VIN from an advertised truck and use that to register?

I bought my '18 used. I'll have to see if I can sign up. Bummer on not being able to buy a slot for a spouse or kid.

OP I had an extra VIN that I gave to another forum member on here that has a Gen 1, not sure if he used it or not. I'll check. He did call the school and get permission to use the VIN I believe and they didn't give him any trouble. I didn't know about Raptor Assault when I got my 2017 so I missed that chance (never got any literature in the mail about it), you only get one year from date of purchase. I got invited to RA by mail for both of my 2019s.
