I just signed up for the Aug 28th class and will be taking my dad. It’s a bit of a bummer that another ticket isn’t an option. I was able to purchase this truck at the age of 32 because of the sacrifices my parents made, so I am doing the next best things I could think of with hope that he will relax and enjoy the trip.

He still tries to pay for everything so I told him one guest is included for the dinner and that I used “points” for the plane tickets... he hasn’t flown in 25 years... says it’s cheaper to drive. I’m also booking a couple nights at a decent 5 star resort with “points” and have two different hotels booked for the first and last nights stay. I’m looking forward to it and the memories. Hopefully he will enjoy the experience as well. It’s the last thing I needed to spend money on right after buying a Raptor, but it will most likely be the last opportunity I have for an experience like this to share with him.

It was a great time got to meet allot of great people. When your in class before you get to drive you can ask the instructors any questions about your Raptor and get answers that you wont get from Ford being they have more hands on hours with these trucks than anyone else and will give you a straight answer. And if this is your first Raptor they will show you how to really get more out of Raptor.

You can pay the 1600 or so bucks. Not worth it. It really isn't a school that you think of in my opinion.

Here's why:
They do show you in the beginning the different driving modes around this little track, which is neat to see... you can make one yourself.

You get to do the crazy sidewall, which is cool, maybe go find a place to do it too... that's about the only advantage at the Raptor assualt

Other than that they just talk you through it and tell you to put the truck in different modes.

I would have never paid for it, I'm lucky because we have a cabin in Utah so I know it well.

I can give you the GOS coordinates of where they drive, it is all BLM land. Cool little trails and the photographer is nice, I can email you thr pics if you want.

It is a cool experience but not at the cost for people to fly out, hotel, or drive etc. On top of the 1600 plus price tag. I would take you for free on the same trails if I drive my Raptor back out to Utah.

One advantage is you get to romp on someone else's truck! I took full advantage !

Just purchased a new 2018 a few months ago. Just curious, does Ford send out literature or some form of invite for the class, or do you just have to know that it's available and contact them? I wonder if you have to purchase a 2019 at this point based upon limited capacity. Would be good to know. I would love to include my new driver (son) as well - such is life.

Don’t wait for an invite. Sign up using your VIN.

I took delivery of my ‘18 in Aug of 2017 and never got a letter from Ford.

To add to the trip experience, the Red Iguana in SLC is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at.

It’s very close to the airport on North Temple. It’s small and popular. The lines can be long.

Get the mole. :)

Just curious about the using of someone else's VIN to let a 2nd person enjoy the class as well. It is a shame they won't allow for you to pay for someone else. Do they not know who's name is attached to what VIN #? So you show up with you and ? and you got a VIN number from another owner who is not going to use it, do they not ask for any kind of ID attached to that VIN? Maybe they don't care as long as the VIN is valid. Thanks....
