Nice just registered, had fun last time. Going to stay in Park City this time.
If I ever go again, I'll do the same. I'll take the 30ish minute commute out to Tooele over the utter nothingness and boredom of staying in Tooele.
Fair enough. I guess I really meant "somewhere in civilization near SLC"Park City will be closer to an hour drive in… But yes much more pleasant than Tooele
Make sure to budget at least $60 to spend on merch in their store in the lobbyI need to buy all of the "assault" stickers
any place you'd recommend in SLC? i booked the hotel in toole but will prob cancel and rebook elsewhereNah, it's not that bad. I just drove back to SLC for dinner on the evening after the course. There are *some* things in Tooele, and you'll have several food options in the part of Tooele that's near the course. It's not a tiny, tiny town. But if I'm traveling I'd rather spend my one evening out in SLC. Now if you booked the recommended Raptor Assault hotel like I did, then there is literally just a Denny's next to it, and then nothing else unless you drive 10 minutes east to Tooele or 30 minutes west to SLC.
Not really. Any place in SLC proper is going to have plenty of restaurant options nearby within 5-10 minutes. And there are hiking options to the east near the mountains. The architecture in SLC is really something to see. You could even go as far north as Ogden without it being a terrible inconvenience--not that there's anything in Ogden that isn't in SLC--but just in case that opens up lodging options to you. I haven't stayed south of SLC.any place you'd recommend in SLC? i booked the hotel in toole but will prob cancel and rebook elsewhere
Midwest eitherAll the cool stuff is not on the east coast...sadly..
