I was there the same time as Old Fart. I stayed at the Comfort Inn Suites in Toole. It's about a 15 minute drive.

You're allowed to bring your son to the night before dinner if you pay for him. Food was catered, I thought it was pretty decent.

I really recommend buying the Road Keeper video set-up. Ask Lisa. You can see the video on the wall, during the introduction. It has you and you're co-pilot in a small square, and the course across the whole screen. I think it was $49,95, but I got my military discount on that and shirts.

I had a really great time. It's a fun day, IMO.

Already paid for the video and can use points for the Comfort Inn so that will work. I think it said the cutoff for age to attend the dinner is 14 and he's only 12 so not sure. I will ask. Thanks

Nice to see you back! Like Hollywood said, we were both at the Comfort Inn in Tooele. I'm pretty sure that is the closest place. It's pretty nice, with a good breakfast buffet. It's not elegant, but I don't need that. It's nice, it's clean, and the staff was real friendly. We both enjoyed it there.

I'm not sure what your son could do if he didn't ride along with you, that's a tough one. I would call RA, the staff is super nice, maybe they would have a good suggestion for your son. I would strongly recommend taking a day to run down to the Bonneville Salt Flats. It is one of the coolest places I've seen in a long time. I thinks that's something you both would enjoy. I know you are a car guy, it is a must see in my book. Here's a thread I made when I came back from RA.

Just reserved at The Comfort Inn Suites. I have enough points for probably the entire 12 day trip so that's nice as the sporting event tickets will eat me alive. At least my 18 year old turned down the trip so that saves a that saves a third of the costs.
