For me personally, I did learn a lot about the truck. My previous 2 vehicles were Jeep Wranglers and I took them off road some so I do have some experience off the pavement.

That being said, I did learn about the limits of the truck and since I'm in Alabama and we don't have terrain like there is out west, I got to use some of the modes that I may not be able to use as much around here to really push the truck.

You get to take the truck around a dirt track in Normal, Deep Sand/Snow, Baja and back to Normal mode to see how it responds (acceleration, suspension, braking) in the different modes. So I thought that was helpful.

You get to drive it across a 32 degree incline to see what that feels like and then up and down a 24 degree incline using Trail Control, so that was cool. I didn't really know anything about Trail Control. You also get to use Trail Control several times out on the trail.

You also get to jump the truck. Everyone likes that and it was certainly cool, but I preferred the Baja course as it reminded me of my autocross days, except in a Raptor and on the dirt. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the trip. We were in truck #6.

Coming from Alabama, the scenery out there is great.

Great pics! I'm near Dallas so not a lot of places to run around here either other than pretty flat stuff. Like you I'm looking forward to some very different terrain to try out in the truck plus the extra bonus of those views!
