What are you up to in Clark?

would have been easier if you quoted ME, not yourself. ya rookie.

i visit clark a few times. i went to a boarding school up there when i was 13 for 2 years. while the scool closed a few years ago, i like to visit and talk to the people. we took the wifes daughter there for the summer last year to straighten her out. she was starting to follow thr wrong path. i will be up there again in june most likely. plus i have a customer, turned friend, who lives in cody

I have been on three mountain hunts up there many years ago. Wish one of them goats were mine. I keep applying and I am not getting any younger. I remember some kind of jeep trail going to a ranch On top. Never went all the way up. I should have made the effort.

Actually, bad weather like rain or snow makes the course much more challenging. When I was there last year it was snowing and the muddy courses made things very interesting!

morrison trail. not a raptor friendly trail. too narrow and turns too sharp. unfortunately the trail going up washed out in the bad rain it got last year. we were up there a year ago and i wanted to go back into the mountains, but got denied. got stuck instead too, haha.

That the place! what did you take up that trail? I used an ATV before. Me and my buddies have argued about if my Polaris ranger could make it. Been 2008 since I have been there.

i couldnt get to the base of the trail. we got in about 7 miles before the road was washed out. wife and i were in my raptor. just wanted to go to the base. we had to turn around instead. found out i had no 4wd. got stuck and spent probably 2 -3 hrs getting unstuck. the ground was really soft and as soon as the rocks flung away, the dirt buried us. no traction at all. probably will never be fixed but im sure they will make a trail around it. i remember posting pictures here somewhere but they are from march of last year. i have too many posts to be looking back a year.

Just got back from the March 21-22 class. If you have the opportunity, do it. It’s well done, a whole lot of fun and I learned some stuff. These are good people at the FRPS!
