The Australian-built #773 Ford Ranger Raptor, driven by Hall of Fame off-road racer Brad Lovell and co-driven by his son Byam, competed in the Production 4WD class, beating the #776 Toyota 76 Land Cruiser of Adam Jiear (by nearly an hour and half overall) and also the #797 Mitsubishi MK Tritan of Jordan Lawson, which didn't complete the race.
Lovell finished the grueling 285-mile round-trip race in 5 hours, 56 minutes, and 30 seconds, the combined times of Day 1 (3 hours, 5 minutes, and 11 seconds) and Day 2 (2 hours, 51 minutes, and 18 seconds). The Day 2 time set a record for the Production 4WD class.
