Howdy folks, well my truck rolled off the line on 4-18-18 and my salesman text me today and said it’s at ramp 59. I did a quick google and there is a ton of mixed suggestions as to what “ramp 59” is so I’ll ask you Pros, what is it and should I expect it to be tied up forever? He said it has an ETA of 5-3. Is there a quality control issues or missing parts? Or is it just a staging area to get loaded? I really wish I had a inside guy at the plant so I can see if it was a direct runner or if it was off lined for any issues.

Thanks in advance.
2018 LFG Screw 802a, beadlocks, pano roof, bedliner.

Speaking of if it’s at ramp 59 does that mean the spray in liner is done or no?

Ramp 59 is where it patiently awaits loading onto a railcar or trailer. Its not broken, or down for a line item.

Pretty positive that I fly over it daily in Dearborn Mi. Tons of trucks just sitting there by the tracks. If I remember, I will snap a pic from overhead tomorrow, you may be able to spot yours.

That would be cool thanks! Let’s hope she’s close to getting loaded, fortunately it won’t be on a rail car as it’s coming to Indiana :)

On a plus side I talked to Ford Performance and they gave me an earlier date than my dealership

Not the case anymore but Ramp 59 was the term used to originally hold trucks for over 3 months back in Oct 16' to Dec 16' for QC issues....

You should be rolling in a few weeks max though.

Good to hear! Those are the horror stories I was reading about, I’ll keep my fingers crossed that the dates 4-27 to 5-3 that FP just gave me are more accurate than a few weeks :)

Took me longer than I thought to fly back over the factory. These pics are of the Ford Factory, River Rouge Plant and the Infamous Ramp 59. If you have a truck waiting at the ramp, it's in these photos somewhere. They were taken 10 minutes ago. Sorry for the quality, just a little challenging to fly a helicopter and snap pics at the same time. If you zoom in on the second pic, you'll see the carriers on the perimeter. A lot more pickups than transports available in that shot. 20-25 trucks per row, 45-50 rows = up to 1000 trucks in the pics.

Speedy, second pic, 5th double row from right side of the photo (working left 5 double rows) the second truck down from the top is a LF Raptor, may be yours.

That's really cool! Mine's in Michigan at the moment as well, it seems, though it's at Ramp 5M in New Boston according to Ford's dealer lookup system. (The status says it's received by CSX Transportation and is awaiting shipment, so I expect that means it's heading to Tennessee by rail.)
