How could a dealer who has presumably handled thousands of new car sales NOT know how to deal with rail dust? The incompetence of car dealer staff top to bottom is mind blowing!

I've used the bug and tar spray. Spray it on and let it start to dissolve the stain, then wipe it off, clay it, then polish it. Should be good after that.

mostly due to stupid customers not paying attention to detail over the years and them not being forced to deal with the problems.

The first thing you should do as a new owner is wash your car and inspect...along with clay polish and wax...get the ********* off tHe truck...

Rail dust or some dude jerking off on your truck because it is such a hot babe needs to be cleaned up!

Cheers and enjoy your raptor!

I can tell you that I had a white Tahoe and you could clay that thing until your hands were raw and it wouldn't take all the rail dust off. Worth a try though.

1. Wash truck
2. Iron-X or Adam's Deep Wheel Cleaner sprayed on entire vehicle
3. Let sit about 5-10 minutes and let it dissolve the rust.
4. Very thorough rinse.
5. Clay Bar paint.
6. (Optional) Polish your paint. Not necessary to remove the rail dust, but since you already stripped the paint, now is the time to polish out the scratches.
7. (NOT OPTIONAL) Protect your paint. You just stripped everything off your truck's paint; now you need to protect it. You may use a sealant or a wax to coat your vehicle and add protection. Personally, I like that sealants past longer so I seal the entire truck with Adam's Quick Sealant. I'd like to try their new Liquid Paint Sealant now that it is available.
8. If you want to add wax for additional shine after sealant, go for it. If you're just waxing don't worry about it.
