I've been using the same V1 since the mid-90's. I've sent it in a couple of times to be upgraded, and am about to send it in again to get the junk k-fighter upgrade. (Just finished a 3,300+ mile road trip, and have a 4,000+ mile road trip coming up in a month, and I need my detector to be on top of its game!) I've never had a speeding ticket while using it. How many other folks have 20 year-old radar detectors that are still tops in performance? I absolutely love how Valentine continues to support their existing customers.

I've owned a few ****** Passport 9500IX. Always worked really well for me has a great range. I'll hardwire it into my Gen2 when I have the time.

Just pulled the trigger on a Uniden R3.

Sure seems like it's the best value in the industry to me.

I used the V-1. Just having the arrows makes it worth the money. Other detectors can tell you there's radar around, but the V-1 tells you where it is.
