Yes that is it, of course you picked the most expensive one... CF tips. I got the chrome tips and sprayed them matte black for just over $1k, was on sale.

CF is $2k here: https://www.cjponyparts.com/ford-pe...ercrew-f-150-raptor-2017-2019/p/M5200F15RSCF/
Question, if Borla is making the Performance exhaust for the Raptor. which Borla model does it compare to?
I did not catch that it is a system made by Borla but Ford was involved and it is different then the aftermarket systems offered

Ford says that it optimizes performance and eliminates drone from 1100-1900 rpm but no figures anywhere that I could find

CJpony parts does list a Ford Sport complete exhaust and a Ford Touring complete exhaust by Ford Performance. How different do they sound from a Borla Sport or Touring
That just adds to the confusion

There`s the Borla Carbon Fiber Tailpipe kit if you just want the look

I had a cammed LS7 Z06 and I modded the bi-mode mufflers. Press the button and it was essentially straight through. Press again and it was nearly civilized. Seems like someone needs to make a bi-mode muffler system for the Raptor. As much as I appreciate a healthy sounding exhaust, sometimes on a trip quiet is nice.

I learned my lesson in my 20's. I had a 440 Plymouth with straight headers and I drove it from PA to Florida. I was ready to shoot myself by the time I got back. It definitely taught me a lesson that there is absolutely such a thing as "too loud"! What sounded great racing around on back roads, is torture after a few hours on the highway. :emotions122:

Willie, talk to me about the exhaust on the denali. 911 can handle a little sidetrack now and again. Is it cat back or entire system? Might make me want to drive the wife's esky a little more. Sound is the only thing it has over the raptor.

GCATX,
The Denali has GMC offered cat back Borla system. It sounds so damn good, when I drive it, it’s the only thing I like better than everything else on my truck....Her exhaust brings back the “schwing” factor when you leave a light or stomp on it!

I just installed the Borla ATAK yesterday.
Why is everyone saying the thing is crazy loud or sounds like a Honda Accord? Based on all those reviews here, I was almost scared of putting it on, but in hindsight it is a) not too loud at all (it's just right, literally) and b) doesn't drone at any point and c) does sound like a V6 race exhaust, and not like a cutoff Honda, even at full throttle. I was surprised at the "deep rumble" at low RPMs that's more akin to a V8. With regards to those 3 points:
a) Be embarrassed in front of the neighbors? I'd be surprised if they even notice the exhaust changed. If one is embarrassed of how they look or sound in front of their neighbors, maybe the actual Honda Accord would be better for them.
b) Make sure stuff is properly bolted down and adjusted. There is almost no cabin noise difference to the stock exhaust for me.
c) "Sound like heaven" - I can only say that's true. It sounds f****** amazing. Couldn't be happier. Rumble, versatility and no "dying-cat" like tin-raspy sounds. I'm almost tempted to say now that my exhaust must be a higher quality production grade than others, but that's very unlikely. It is clearly a Borla ATAK, not S-type or anything else. Resonators are gone. Wouldn't want them back either.

I just think that some aftermarket exhausts do improve the sound of the Raptor. Maybe the reason why many think it sounds like a can of bees is because they’re so used to the American muscle car sounds. If you had this exhaust on a RS5, RS7 or M4, everyone would say “wow”. It makes a great TT V6 sound. Sure, stock sounds pretty great and if you’re not bothered with the volume level, then no need to spend the money. I’m very happy I did. Also got a good deal on it anyway!

With regards to performance: I honestly can’t feel a difference at all - but that wasn’t my goal either.

Where did you get the good deal? I do think the Atak sounds awesome on the video. Kind of like the Hennessy without all of the problems!

As far as I can see, Crazy seems to be trying to spend as much money as he can as quickly as possible. Mods out the butt before he even picks it up and tries it the way it comes from the factory? Crazy is right. I predict that in a year or two, someone will pick up a nice barely used Raptor with lots of expensive mods on for KBB value.
