As 2025’s start to roll in to Dealer Lots.
I went in to potentially replace my 2018 and was looking at a 2025 801a 35” tires.
1. The stitches and wrinkles on the base of the rear looked horrible. I looked at a 2024 37 package and it was good. Another 2025 37 package same wrinkles but stitching was good.
2. 2025’s running boards say Ford, not Raptor.
3. No keypad as previously mentioned. Can be added no problem.

All in all I was turned off on the 801a, started looking at the 24 and 25 37 package. The 37 package, the difference between the 37 Package “Recaro’s” and the seats on the 801a are very close, just different material on parts of the seats. Okay so Dual Live valve, 37’s for $11k?

I could have bought either the 801a or the 802a for $1k above MSRP after I got then to remove $5k in dealer adds. I don’t really have issue with the $1k, I just could not get excited about any of them. Camera better, transmission wayy smoother, bigger screen.
So basically $60k more than my Gen2 for the 37. And a lot of little things on the Gen2, Carbon Shifter and gear selection, the cool little red stripe on the steering wheel.

Normally when something doesn’t Wow Me, I don’t pull the trigger, when something does I make poor financial decisions.

What am I missing here?

Right there with ya. I have an 18, and benefits of the 24/25 don’t even come close to justifying the cost. It’s a shame, because I’m itching for something new… But nothing out there is getting my attention.

I just got a ‘24 for discount. I suggest always buying second half of the year when the kinks are worked out. I had an ordered ‘24 I got in January 2024 and I noticed errors all over and the one I just picked up is great.

My 2018 rode better than my linked '22. Newer seems quiet a bit stiffer. Still better than other trucks. I think 2018 with "dumb" shocks is the best. The random tranny shifts was just a bonus, I called it Raptor mystique.
