Yuck that sounds like a ****** situation. I got my truck back this morning, several of the drive belts were worn/glazed so they were replaced with the tensioner belt and pulley. They say this got rid of the noise but I won’t know for sure until I can test it in conditions where I had the noise before. I’m letting it sit at work so I’ll update again when I leave later and can do a cold start.Small update on my end. Spoke to service advisor, they were able to reproduce the noise. They have not isolated it to a specific area or part yet. They did mention there is another raptor r in with a similar noise that is coming from supercharger and is misfiring and has low oil pressure.
Are they saying they believe the chirping sound is associated to the supercharger and low oil pressure? Or that particular raptor is in for multiple unrelated issues? They did mention there is another raptor r in with a similar noise that is coming from supercharger and is misfiring and has low oil pressure.
Mine also has that exhaust sound on start up, and I get a lot of pop/burble on decel too but coming from years of turbo sports cars I consider that a plus haha.I’m on my second 24 R. The first one did not make the chirp, the one I have now does chirp for a few minutes after cold start. I get a loud crackle during cold start as well, and more burble/pops when decelerating than my previous 24 R.
I’m also convinced it’s not making the same power. Could be in my head, but it just doesn’t feel the same. I hear zero supercharger. There’s also a metal ticking noise that increases under load/acceleration over 3k rpm. I don’t know if the exhaust is loose, or there’s a baffle loose, I’m not sure.
