I wonder how much improvement a pair of full race turbos give the gen 2...

Our EFR twin-turbo kit for the 2017+ Gen2 EcoBoost represents the state-of-the-art in EcoBoost V6 turbocharging. Ford’s combination of Port Injection in addition to Direct Injection is a game changer for big horsepower turbo builds. This kit is 100% bolt on and can extract maximum horsepower from stock or built 3.5L EcoBoost engines. Utilizing B1-frame EFR turbos from BorgWarner (the OE supplier to Ford) allows us to achieve reliable performance levels previously seen only with LMP / Daytona Prototype High performance EcoBoost 3.5L racing engines. Full-Race CAC Intercooler is included. This kit retains the OEM electronic stepper motor, and requires knowledge and experience with turbos and wrenching to properly install. It is not for the feint of heart.

I'm not a Procharger or Roush hater by no means.
I was in the process of getting a Procharger for my Raptor back in 2010 until I started hearing problems with the kit for the Raptor.
I bought my Raptor in Texas and the dealer was going to set me up with Hennessey for the Procharger, since the dealer was only an hour away.
I'm glad I was on the ball researching Hennessey!!!

Like I stated earlier I've never seen Dyno numbers higher then 475 rwhp for the Procharger until @Sernas posted his.

Just to point out, Whipple is the only company still doing improvements on their kits for the Raptor.
The new compressors (Gen 4 and the Gen 5 for Mustangs) they are producing now are 30% much efficient the first Gen compressor.
Still waiting to see some Raptors with the Gen 4 compressors to post dynos.
I was going to upgrade mine this year but life got in the way, hopefully next year.

Good thing you didn’t go with Hennessey!

Every procharged Raptor I know of made 500+ rwhp on a dynojet.

You can make over 600+ with the upgrades I stated. The only true issues was eating up belts & transmission tuning. From what I remember, it was best to just turn off the entire torque management system.

Whipple is great, but I’m not a fan of PD blowers due to all the heat soak issues I’ve experienced with them. Also, PD blowers have higher parasitic loss (takes power to make power).

The tuner is the biggest factor too. JDM engineering, from what I recall, was top notch. Most other tuners concentrated more on whipple & roush though. The canned tunes that came with the kits were garbage. Either way though, I still wish the Gen 2 Raptors came with the 5.0’s... it’d be throwing any one of those blowers on one.

The Procharger makes the least amount of power out of the three forced air induction available to the 6.2L
By about 80 HP and 60 Torque.
Even with the best Tune from Livernois, and it's still not Raptor friendly with the Raptor's torque management control.
Also the Whipple and the Roush power curve does not go flat like the Procharger.

One day a show down between a Whipple Stage 2 with the new Gen 4 compressor and fully modified Gen 2 needs to happen.
Actually the Whipple Gen 2 or 3 compressor will do as well.

Has the Raptor become a drag truck or is this a small set of enthusiasts doing this? Can these mods help in the off-roading capabilities/situations? Do they provide the low-end torque needed at times or does the transmission and gearing take over those responsibilities? I understand power is power and trying to understand where that power is situated within the power band and how does it translate to off-road?

Yea, cause more power sucks. seriously? Someone needs to explain “more horsepower” to you???

I was suprised to see the Pro Charged G1 go down so hard in the midrange to the tuned G2. That dirt drag looks like it would be a fun day if a bunch of us Raptor guys got together to play.

After I got my JDM tunes loaded, I had an opportunity to get on the rollers at a corvette event..lol
That particular day, On 37's, my JDM/Roush put down 507 at the wheels. Pretty solid number I think.
Anyway, sometimes the number on the pump doesnt mean shit... In numerous roll-ons with my buddy's "750hp" Shelby F150 I can put a truck length on him up past 100mph. I can hear him coming on the big end, but we are usually out of room and shut it down before he gets past my door.
On paper, his lighter F150 Super Snake should not get beat by a heavy Raptor on 37's... but it does. Every truck is different, and Dyno numbers are only comparable on the same day, on the same rollers.

I think youd be surprised at how much all wheel spin I had. When I finally hooked up and the turbos hit full boost it just started steaming.

ProChargers suck ass. No boost at the low end, and a slow build up to redline when you finally hit peak boost. It's like you took the worst characteristics of a turbo and a supercharger, then combined them. Wait, that's EXACTLY what they did. It's easy to bolt on, cheap, and does make a bunch more power than stock, but that's about all I can say good about a bolt on ProCharger kit.

Turbos or PD blowers only for me please.
