That is the highest I've seen to date, thanks for sharing.
I will take that and edit my post.

Yeah made great power but lost drivability. That is the reason I got rid of it and looking to get a Roush.

@Sernas

Whipple!

Full stock exhaust and only the Gen 2 compressor
and I'm not running the smaller SC pulley because of the full stock exhaust.
78 degrees, third run. stock tires keep slipping on the rollers.

@MTF
Procharger @ 11psi should make that as well. My runs were on 37s 91 octane.

Gentlemen - All these HP posts are apples to oranges. It depends upon gear ratio, tire size among many other variables.
Stock First Gen - If you do a pull with stock 35s (Lighter tires) in second gear the RWHP will be higher than if done in 3rd.
37s with a different rear gear ratio will be different too. Same engine mods ECT.
3rd gear in our Raptors isn't anywhere near a true 1 to 1 ratio. 4th would be a better overall gear to use for actual RWHP comparison still it is only 1.14 to one not a true 1 to 1 ratio.
A 2nd Gen should be pulled in 7th gear which is a true 1 to 1 trans ratio to the best of my knowledge.
So these HP quotes don't mean SHT with out further details.
But
A 2nd Gen is lighter, has more trans gear ratios so it easier to stay in the power band - will accelerate much quicker than a 1st Gen with the same HP.
I have 1st Gen stock and I still can get sideways in the dirt at 90mph+ when I don't want to. It all depends upon what each individual needs. LOL

I found short shifting it helped a lot. I'm putting out over 600 ft/lbs before 2500 rpm so revving out to 6.2k doesn't work. I'm disappointed I was so slow at the line but I really started pulling so hard top end. The truck is super responsive and comes out of the hole hard. It's pretty incredible to be able to pull a blown 6.2 with just a tune and a few minor bolt ons. the gen 2 power is impressive. I've still left a lot on the table with bone stock exhaust. I don't know the mods of the Gen 1 but it at least has an exhaust on it. The guy actually pulls with it a lot. I ran in baja mode, rear diff locked, manual tranny, traction and stability off, tire pressure @ 20 psi.

It was a hell of a lot of fun and the other guy was a good sport about it. Great way to spend $20!

Heres another run from outside against an F350 diesel.

Thanks man. Im glad I was able to run him down. Very nice guy I have met before. He actually pulls a lot with his truck.

Off the line wasnt really even the truck, I just had a poor reaction time. I know you guys get all excited over "that V8 torque", but Im making peak torque (of over 600 ft/lbs) in the mid 2k's and launching at 2k....

I ended up losing overall in double elimination. A diesel pulling truck took the whole thing. I raced him once and it was close, but he just squeezed me out at the top end.

Heres another run against and F350 Diesel

I figured it was just a bad reaction, the gen 2 should have some good bottom end torque (mine is coming in next week & I’m sure the gen 2 stock turbos are on the smaller side for low end torque anyway). I had a procharged Gen 1 a few years back. It was a fun truck & I’m looking forward to getting the Gen 2... just up in the air on if I want to void the warranty or not. If I do, I’ll be basically copying your setup.

Diesels are a whole different animal... lol. Good runs though.

The Procharger makes the least amount of power out of the three forced air induction available to the 6.2L
By about 80 HP and 60 Torque.
Even with the best Tune from Livernois, and it's still not Raptor friendly with the Raptor's torque management control.
Also the Whipple and the Roush power curve does not go flat like the Procharger.

One day a show down between a Whipple Stage 2 with the new Gen 4 compressor and fully modified Gen 2 needs to happen.
Actually the Whipple Gen 2 or 3 compressor will do as well.

Well, I had a procharged Gen 1 Raptor... I’d call BS on the whipple or roush being better. A Circle D torque converter & adding a restrictor plate to the D1SC’s inlet & pulleying down will give the procharger gobs of low-end torque & eliminate any low-end advantages a PD blower has. The D1SC is also at the lower end of it’s efficiency range in the “out of the box kits”, so pulleying down doesn’t hurt it & keeps it in its efficiency range & the power comes on like a PD blower with the restrictor plate (spools faster/limits max cfm though) Also, there’s far less heat soak compared to the PD blowers... & water/**** injection is much easier to use with prochargers compared to PD blowers (puddling/atomization issues). Out of the box, sure Whipple & Roush might be better, but Procharger is far more efficient & has more potential with the proper setup & tune... plus it sounds way cooler with a big red race valve wooshing & venting to the atmosphere. The stock gen 1 Roush Raptors with the TVS (tuned from factory) were slouches, but the whippled gen 1s were pretty nice off the line... still didn’t beat my procharged Raptor though. I did get my ass handed to me by a nitrous extended cab/short bed F150 5.0 though... full bolt-on with a 2 stage nitrous setup (150/300 or something like that) & a torque converter.

The LS community has been “life hacking” prochargers for years. Chevy comes in handy for once.
