15K miles and the tranny went. Busted the Sprag and the dealership has the tranny pulled apart now looking further into it. Always had a funky shift to it since new, especially 3-4 and 4-5. It started shifting hard from 7-8, 9-10 then had two very hard shifts with loud clunks from 1-2. The second time I was in 4A and it shifted 1-2 hard, ****** the truck around, the engine revved up, shifted into 4th with a loud bang. I slightly applied gas and it revved up hard, slammed into a higher gear and slammed back out of it going into a lower gear that made the engine rev up again. Pulled to the side of the highway and the ass end locked up. It went on the wrecker dragging its ass like a dog with worms. Service got it to drive in 4 low, but I have a feeling it will be in the shop for a while.
Sounds very similar to what happen to me but on an ‘18 at 5500 miles. Ford authorized a new transmission after a few other attempted fixes first, protocol I am sure. Seems much better then original and all good at least at 6500 miles now. Took 48 days in my case but dealer moved at a snails pace.

I have a feeling mine will be there for around the same length of time. We are on week 2 now and it hasn't moved since they pulled the tranny. Mine is an 18 as well. They asked for my authorization to pull the tranny, which I told them to go ahead with. I'm hoping the Stage 1 Whipple kit doesn't keep them from covering this under warranty. The TCM program is factory Ford, so they are saying I should be good to go. We shall see.

Oh man. Whipple changes things.... while we can all hope they’ll cover it, I’m not sure if it’s reasonable to expect them to.

That tranny is probably being pushed to its limits just from the stock HO ecoboost... That’s what I figure anyways... explains why raptors have transmission woes and base F150s do not... they’re pushed harder. Whipple on there, even more so.

Not even close. The transmission is rated to way more torque than even a shelby Raptor delivers.

Had this ticking noise start about 11k miles. Nothing other than the sound, but while it doesn't always happen, it is pretty loud when driving. Everyone around hears it. Dealer has no idea.

Tied to speed not rpm. Got it up on the lift and spun all the tires, no sound. seems coicendent with hitting the bottom of truck with POR15 and Amsoil MPHD.

My ‘17 has less than 14k miles on it and the engine rattle on startup has been intermittently present since it was delivered.

Still plenty of time left on warranty so I’ve been avoiding the urge to have a dealer (spend several weeks) investigating. The rattles are starting to get a little worse though. Here’s what it sounded like on startup this morning.

That sounds like the transmission to me, which is normal. If the rattle comes from it, you're fine. Else it is cam phasers....
