So yall checking pressures tires cold or warm? Im 37-38 cold but 42 after 20 mins on freeway

I always check mine when they are cold in my garage. Much easier than relying on the electronic gauges which tend to be off by a few lbs.

In response to a previous post whether it's the road causing the issue, I drove another car and SUV on the same commute without the same effect occurring. Have also checked tire pressures, as previously suggested.

I have the SVC stage 1 starter kit (CAS, Deavers, bump stops), installed by the shop themselves. Picture of mine, nothing special compared to what they also do, is on their social media pages. SVC shop is excellent, by the way. This was done back in 9/2018. Not sure why the ride started to deteriorate now. Perhaps the tires are starting to wear some and the stiffer ride from the Deavers is more noticeable? There is improvement with the lighter aftermarket wheels/smaller tires, but it doesn't eliminate the issue.

I am considering having a leaf removed from the pack to soften the ride, but not sure how effective that will be, or worth the cost. Sorry, I know this may not apply to the OP's truck.

Also, I do understand the concern about trolls on the forum. I love the truck, and my other vehicles, and really just use the forums for insight to problems. Some of us read mostly and don't have much knowledge to offer, yet. Other issues (lagging infotainment, cold start rattle, etc) are either already well documented or have been taken care of by the dealership.

All suggestions are much appreciated.

Your avatar hinted in this direction! ;)

Both caught your eye, eh? What does that "hint at"?

Ok ,back to my Sasquatch conspiracy theory, how come we have not seen a picture of the OP and his new truck?

What do you mean "back to", this was obviously your only point in posting here ;)

Answer is the same as last time. See below. Btw, do you even know what an expansion joint is?

I don't wonder, i just use the slightest bit of intelligent thought.

A) Why would they make this up?
B) Several replies from non first time posters confirming they get it to under certain circumstances

See how easy that was? Try it sometime.

Tough to really say where the problem lies here, but the same way you can have trouble on washboard dirt roads, or undulations, you can have this phenomenon on the Rap. You’re significantly different from stock, so you should probably start by asking SVC and nothing against them, but I’ll bet the response is “we’ve never heard of this”.

I think you’d get the same behavior from a Navigator, Aviator, Raptor, Explorer, Town car or GT350 if you’re objectively evaluating whether or not there’s an issue on a given stretch of road. I’m sure there are roads where the Raptor handles worse than <insert vehicle here>. Same for a Super Duty.

Wheelbase and vehicle speed are two primary factors that impact any vehicle's ability to handle expansion joints.

How many miles are on your truck? If your stock shocks are getting tired, this would absolutely reduce their damping capabilities and could contribute to the issue you are experiencing. These big heavy trucks can do some weird things when the shocks get soft.

ok, sas77, I get it. You have many aliases and like to cover for yourself with other posts. I was hoping the mods would have banned you by now, but I guess we will have to wait a little longer this time.
