I would choose V8. As would the majority, indicated by this landslide.

Everyone would if we had a choice but we dont so I think everyone needs to sit back and relax until real numbers are released from Ford.

Im going to guess a few people will change their tune once the 2017 hits the pavement.

I wish. Then I wouldnt have to save so much cash for when the 2017 drops.

Im just trying to be optimistic towards the Gen2.

A little late to this, but no v6 for me. Going to keep my 13 till it falls apart, or blows up. Looking to buy a 2018 grand Cherokee srt8 hellcat next.

I have a 2013 Raptor and I love it. It is the only Ford product I own, or would own. I almost puked when the new Ford GT came out with a v6. A v6 Raptor will never be in my driveway.

I'm also skeptical of the gm/ford 10sp auto.

I was interested in the V6 option since it would be tunable. We can't get to much more power from our V-8s w/out a supercharger or some even run the twin turbos (then catch fire).

But that 10-speed auto has been notorious in other brands for recalls and issues.

Plus the V-6 that's been running in the Eco F-150, Flex, Explorer Sport, Taurus SHO isn't the same one. I'm skeptical of the first run reliability of these since it's an all new 3.5 V6 with a lot more bells and whistles that might not take a beating.

The new 10 speed could be problematic. I'm a vette guy so I'm familiar with gm transmissions. The 4L80e casing is the foundation of the 6l90, 8L90, and now the 10sp.

The 8L90 went into the 15 vettes. They over-heated under hard driving. The problem was fixed when they added more plumbing and cooling. The 10speed will require even more plumbing and cooling. That's not a problem in a road car. An off road vehicle bouncing around in dirt, mud and rocks may cause coolers and plumbing to fail or the transmission to go into limp mode in rough conditions.
