@MFNG Nothern California, napa valley area. Very expensive area unfortunately. An ok house on a .25 of an acre will run about 800k on the low end to 1-1.2million. And it will still need work

Lol, you didn’t miss anything . I can’t speak for all but I have known some people in the 19-21, go to nice school (hopefully they actually learn something), live in nice houses with Parents , drive nice cars, all paid for by parents.

BUT I also know maybe 2 people who are 20 and 22. Worked and paid for their Raptor (one is my staff so I know) 1 also live with parents .. so I assume no rent. The other One has like 3 roommates.

I know my share living in CA so if someone in their 19 or 20 or even early 20 and said they have their own home, having $80K truck, and even they run their own business.. It's hard to believe especially out in CA here .

When I’m in early 20, mid 20 and late 20s. I don’t spend much on cars (I can't), I had a different goal. I took the advantage of tanking economy in 2008, 2009, got couple houses with all my saving and salary and everything I had. Fixed them and renting them out and sold some later. Mid 30 now, have always had couple different business and work like a dog through those time and even now.. to make CA politicians rich LOL. I'm an immigrant, freaking first generation here in the US so I do not have anything handed to me either. SO a $70K car is out of my reach at 19, 20 or even 25

Can’t seem to shake the “What do you do” thread that died.

How do you guys in your 20’s have Gen2’s AND live in California? I live in IL, am nearly taxed to death as much as Cali, make over 60k and can’t seem to figure it out.

Do you own businesses - if so what? Do you own homes too - Cali mortgages are crazy? Do you have student loans? Am I missing something here? Asking for a friend. ;)

34 w used Gen1, first Raptor.

@Trackar I used to live in Hollywood in my younger years. I completely understand. The house I rented w friends in 2006 had a 90 year mortgage on 2M. It was only 1200 sq ft. It did have a garage/apt in back but...

My bleeding heart would go out to you but IL has also bled me dry of anything resembling a soul.

Too old? Sorry JPete.....if you feel old at 45 maybe a Raptor is the RX you need! I feel pretty young and spry at a ripe 59. My Raptor is my 47th vehicle...and my best!
Lol... absolutely!
