POLICE got me again......

Where in PA does this happen? I've never been pulled for tint. And my WRX and Raptor are both tinted. Usually I get pulled for speeding, then get a warning.

Around here the city police are too busy or just don't care about tint, tires sticking out too far, etc..
It's usually the state police that pull you over for that stuff.
That's why I only run 35% tint on the front windows. 20% would be a better match to the rear windows, but 35% is legal and looks better than no tint. It's not worth the hassle of getting a ticket or defect card.

It is pretty obvious that DinduMcNugget were never a LEO and have not a clue of what Leo goes through in their day to day job. Yes, maybe it's not the world Dangerous job but if you let your guard down for a sec, then you won't be going home after the shift. I know A lot of doctors but that won't make me a doctor or know what they do in the operating room. Please don't try to armchair quarter back.

Cool man, I never claimed to be a LEO but I can guarantee you I work with and see more criminals daily than they do, seeing as it’s my job to educate them and teach them. You want to talk about not knowing what a cop goes through? I work with one CO with me in a room full of hardened criminals. Except I don’t have a gun, I have a book. You seem to confuse caution with fear, which, I understand.

I think if you are going into every conversation thinking you have to come out a winner and not trying to understand someone else’s point of view you have the wrong attitude, which was clear from the beginning where you thought interjecting insults was the way to go.

I just got my windows tinted yesterday and had a big internal debate about 50% or 35% on the front windows. The back windows were 5%. The gentleman doing the tint said more so get pulled over for 35% than 50% but most numbers were small and those were two options he suggested. I finally decided on 50% just to be safe.

My raptor had tinted windows and I haven’t been pulled over so far, but my car might draw a little more attention. Luckily I think most officers know how hot it is here in the summer and can sympathize. But you are right that state police seem to be a little more strict about the rules.

Apology accepted man. See? Was that so hard? I think it takes a lot to admit when you are wrong, which you did. Kudos to you for being the bigger man.

Just as an aside, teacher, or even baby sitter is my profession, not prison guard. I thought that was clear when I stated I use a book and explicitly stated I teach them.

I guess my writing skills really are poor if you missed what I directly stated, I apologize for that. Wow! Your humble attitude must be contagious because now I’m apologizing!

18% here in TN on both front windows and both my BMW M cars all the way around. Been doing either 15% or 18% depending on what installer has at the time for 10 years now and never been pulled over for it!

Caution and fear is what keep Leo alive and well out on the streets. Working the streets and teaching from a book is top different thing. CO do their job differently the Police officers, but never the less it's a hard job no matter you are a SME teaching or a LEO working this ever changing society.

I can agree with that. I wouldn’t want to be a CO or a LEO in today’s society and with the current social and political climate. Never my intention to insult anyone’s profession or diminish it. I have respect for anyone who works any job and provides for their family or themselves.

Package? It’s standard equipment. On rear window and rear doors. Anything else is aftermarket.

It was on the window sticker. Front windows are tinted. Just curious as to the percent. No worries, will get one of the Motors to check with a tint meter.
