The lower grill pops out im relatively sure and the main grill unbolts... I didn't remove the lower grill. Just masked the plastic caps.

Thanks Steele, I'll just do some more searching on the grille removal... Thanks again for the info and props on the truck. Makes me wish I got white. Looks great with the (now) black trim!

Yeah, actually I'm an intarwebz troll sent to earth just to mess with you..

I actually have seen those plastidip videos and maybe even that thread. Like I said before I have done plenty of plasti-dipping, although always willing to learn something new.. Anyways, my question was how did he remove the grill?

Some people must just get off on themselves being rude on the internet. Why are you wasting your precious time arguing with me if I'm such a "z-punk"? Who is the winner now??

This must be you... http://maxdunbar.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/someoneiswrong1.png

Now I remember why I frequent the "other" forum.. jeez..

:snoopfacepalm:There is no arguing here:
First I try to encourage you to find the answers to your questions concerning 'over spray removal' on your own (I never contemplated that the removal of the upper or lower grill would be a serious question.)
If it is for you, you should never attempt to perform any work on your truck that involves hand tools.
And mostly: if you can not take some mild jesting, you are in the wrong place! What would you do if a certain “Bird” or “Busa” get hold of you…cry and hide in a corner?

maybe in price. have fun with longevity. there is a reason Line-X costs what it does and plastidip crap costs what it does.

I'll keep that in mind while the guy with line x flares is trying to clean the mud out of his textured garbage, or when he wants to go body color on his flares... Thanks for your input though, it was classy.

since textured line-x is hard to clean? pretty sure its not hard to clean at all and can be done colormatched to any paint code. Any more brain busters?:banghead:

Why are you here again?

so you didnt have a more valid come back besides "why are you here again?" thats a good arguement. its funny how a guy that does coatings for a living provides his input in a thread about coatings and when i blow holes in your arguements yall get all pissy like you invented this garbage. i can understand using this stuff maybe for emblems or other SMALL items that it would be hard to put a more substantial coating on, but i dont understand why you would dork up a 50k+ truck with this cheap garbage.

My arguments? You came here flaming something that has nothing to do with your product or business. You obviously aren't looking to make a sale with your ****-poor attitude in this thread, so what is your point? Not everyone wants to have bedliner on the outside of their vehicle. The texture works fine to keep things from sliding around in the box, but I see no point in doing it where you can see it. Im sure some people like it and that's fine but I don't think anyone in this thread does.

I could do this 10 times for $500 and that will far exceed the life of the truck.
