Looks good guys !

I have gotten most of the chrome on the truck... But does anyone know how to take the shifter completely apart to spray it ?

If at all possible ?

If it was me, I'd just stab a 50 gallon garbage bag over the shifter, then use tape and newspaper to mask it and spray the chrome that way. It'd make you hate your life WAY less, I would think.

FYI I experimented with PlastiDip before I used it and found you need a good 4-5 layers on or else it doesn't peel off that well. Something to consider, I saw someone said they only put 2 coats on. I'd be surprised if it peels off like you had hoped. The good news is you can just go and add a few more coats later on, if it isn't peeling the way you had hoped. Also, I found if you get the Clear PlastiDip then you can put a few layers of that on, and then the top layer or two can be basically any color you want.. :)

Also, how are you guys masking off your front bumper/grill area???

Thanks!! Looks great, I think I will dip my fenders and front bumper now.. Beats $500 to Line-X...

Lots of tape and news paper. I just removed the grill. Took about 2 minutes. Spray it on the marker lights thick then use something small like a flat screw driver to peel it off.

Removed the grill? In the lower front bumper? HOW??

Why did you paint over the marker lights?? Just as part of the overspray?

Why? Because I have only a handful of posts? I actually don't frequent this forum, I am primarily on the "other" forum. Anyways, thanks for your helpful response oh almighty knowledgable one..

Yeah, actually I'm an intarwebz troll sent to earth just to mess with you..

I actually have seen those plastidip videos and maybe even that thread. Like I said before I have done plenty of plasti-dipping, although always willing to learn something new.. Anyways, my question was how did he remove the grill?

Some people must just get off on themselves being rude on the internet. Why are you wasting your precious time arguing with me if I'm such a "z-punk"? Who is the winner now??

This must be you... http://maxdunbar.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/someoneiswrong1.png

Now I remember why I frequent the "other" forum.. jeez..
