My arguments? You came here flaming something that has nothing to do with your product or business. You obviously aren't looking to make a sale with your ****-poor attitude in this thread, so what is your point? Not everyone wants to have bedliner on the outside of their vehicle. The texture works fine to keep things from sliding around in the box, but I see no point in doing it where you can see it. Im sure some people like it and that's fine but I don't think anyone in this thread does.

I could do this 10 times for $500 and that will far exceed the life of the truck.
and thats where you finally understand why im here. im a supporting member NOT a vendor, im not actually here to sell anything. i have a raptor myself, and build alot of them in my shop. ive had alot of people come into my shop over the years with DIY coatings of all kinds that were disappointed. i guarantee you ive seen more in person that have failed than most if not all members on here. it comes with being in a coatings and truck related business. i really hate seeing people use DIY stuff that dont know any better.

I don't remember anyone being disappointed with or having plastidip fail, atleast here. Mine turned out flawless and has survived alot of punishment in both hot and cold weather.

If line-x has something that isn't textured and is still just as tough i would definitely consider going that route but for now this is a much better alternative to paint and still has the smooth satin black look i want.

This is just my opinion of plasti dip.

It's a great temporary use for seeing if you like the look.
A more permanent solution wing either a vinyl wrap, or bed liner.

I've used plastidip, it holds up fine for daily driving. Where I had issues was if I got the truck muddy and wasn't able to wash it till a few days later. I'd have to be EXTREMELY careful as to how I washed the plasti dipped areas.

And I didn't like that so I ripped mine off.

In the future, since I know I like the look now, I'll be doing vinyl or bed liner.

That was my original plan but I haven't really had any issues with it yet. Maybe because it rains so much here the mud never dries? :disgust:

this is what i thought about it pretty much. i understand cost is a concern, but i dont like doing things more than once if i dont have to. Line-X comes in different colors, and the texture can be adjusted to almost nothing. to each his own with these products (including mine). in the end its your decision.
