liking the idea of a hood wrap for protection and looks. ive seen a couple pics of cars with plastidipped hoods but no raptors. anybody done this? think the camo green might look kinda cool on my terrain.

First, thanks for changing the avatar. The last one was freakin me out. As for the hood and plastidip, I've been contemplating the same thing. At the very least it would be a cheap way to test the look I'm considering. If I like it I think it ultimately gets done as a wrap or paint.

Doing the hood can't be done properly with cans. I did mine in black and you can't get it even. You need to find it in a paint can for a power/air sprayer.

This, I tried it as well and the texture was different all over the place. 6.2 also tried it on his Ranger with the same outcome.

You might be able get spray it even if you were to remove the hood to allow you more access. Though, you would still need to use a sprayer. Good Luck!

With so many reports of fails and difficulties I think I'll save the time and frustration. Once again, thanks to the Forum I'm spared the frustration and headache. Thanks guys
