This was my first attempt. I'm going to re do it. Or just put on another coat to even it out.

Just put another coat over it... No need to take off a layer that could help protect your hood.

Looks great, hope you won't be wiping off overspray for weeks like I did
What process did you use to peel the tape from the edges without peeling the edge of dried plasti dip?

I was going to put a matte wrap on my roof line of my Terrain color but that may be a more viable option and much cheaper. Curious on durability over the along haul.

My process was simple : (of course had to learn from my mistakes)

Tape off where you want to.
Hit the taped section with a few heavy coats.. Make sure it doesn't run.
Peel off the tape quick before it dries all the way.
Finish off the inner unpainted area

Other than the taped area, I sprayed lightly to make sure it doesn't run. Just give it a few coats and make sure it looks even. It's been 4 months or so and it still looks great.
