My handheld was I think around $30.00 on amazon and would work perfectly fine for a run through the the pine Barrens. If you guys plan on going on more runs you should think about a truck mounted radio. But a handheld is always good to have even if you have a truck mounted radio.

I have one unfortunately I just haven't had the time to install it. Plus I figured when I do I wanted to install some Focal sound deadening since I'll have to drop the headliner and run the wires to put the main unit behind the back seat. I need therapy because every time I do one thing I always go crazy and add 10 more things to the list because I figure it will be easier to do all at once then it takes me a week to accomplish what should have been a simple task lol. Not to mention now I'm trying to see if I can get stuff installed on my white truck so I can take that on instead but I'm not sure I'll be able to get it done because of the stupid holidays. You've been there before so will a completely stock truck be fine or do you think I should take my other truck?

Newbie here, I'm actually going to check out a Raptor today, if I get it, and you don't mind a new guy, count me in. :)

I've been offroading before years ago, at Paragon in a Bronco and Rausch Creek in my Jeep, so I'm not new to offroading, but I will be a newbie in a Raptor. And it will be stock.

btw, what hand-held radio did you get for $30?

Thanks,

Mike
