Has anyone had any seat time in a modded Ecoboost? Say the boos cranked up, maybe some less restrictive intake and a blow off valve so you can really let them hairdryers breath. That might be pretty awesome

Good news that they are taking care of your problem without any hassles but at the same time bummed that this happened to you. Hopefully everything will work out in the end and you can finally get on the road with the beast.

The eco-boosts are sooo cute...

Here is my advice:
- Call the dealer and tell them that you want them to keep all of the parts that they remove from the transmission for your inspection. Talk to the Service Manager and no one else. He will very likely agree.
- There is a fair chance that they will "forget" to retain the parts for your examination. Personally I would take that as prima face evidence that they are intentionally hiding the severity of the problem. I would envoke the lemon law and refuse to take delivery of the truck. Somebody please comment on this. I've never been in this situation, and I am not certain that this is the BEST thing to do, only that it's a good thing to do.
- If they show you the parts, take a picture of them and post them here. Ask what they are and ask for the part numbers. There will be some opportunity here for wise discussion and advice. I wouldn't take delivery of the truck until you are comfortable that it is wise to do so.
- If you decide to take delivery of the truck, demand the most extensive and comprehensive Ford extended warranty available. Go on-line to the Ford site and study up on their many warranty options so that you know for certain what warranty you are demanding. Don't demand blind. Know exactly what you want.

Well I am going to make sure they do something for me.. cuz I am worried later down the road...

Im not going to give Hell to my dealer.. cuz all they did was order.. and sell.. if they did service and something got fuked up.. Then yeah.. Ill bring HELL..

I just found out my buddy had a leak in his 11'.. not same.. but some where around the end of the shaft or something.. He called ford and they offer him a extended warranty.. but he declined.. so they bought the truck back..

That would be the worst case for me... but for now.. I cant wait to get my TRUCK BACK!

Thanx for all the support... Ill keep u updated on how Ford handles this..

My Dealer just dropped off a FX4 Eco boost.. instead of a rental car.. So for now..trying to be happy.

Not true, you paid the Dealer for a PDI they should have found this problem before delivery if they were doing their job.

The truck is already his period. Follow The Process---the rest of this is just up to the "goodwill" of Ford. The OP is in no position to demand squat---people quit blowing smoke up his rear. Be nice and voice your concerens in writing always sending the correspondence to Ford. Like i said "goodwill" is your only option with Ford at this point......

Lemon Law does not apply here.... It may in the future but not yet. The first thing is notification in writing. Have posted about this several times. It is a long process.... Been there done that -- had 2 Fords and one MB bought back because of it. Trick is the first notification letter---puts them on notice... Telling them or just taking it in does not cut the mustard... FOLLOW THE EXACT PROCESS OR YOU WILL BE HOSED PERIOD.......:grd:

*update*

So, Ford Corp has not called me.. its been 3 business days.. 5 regular days..

Instead of calling my sales guy.. I called the service department to check on my truck and parts..

Service guy tells me that they are still waiting for the part and the truck is on the lift..

And also tells me that Ford Corp has given me a 5 year and 75000 mile extended warranty on the truck..

I am some what happy.. cuz they did gave me a extended warranty.. and I guess they back their work..

Plus.. I really really dont want to wait for a new truck!!!

but if any problem from the tranny again.. then Im def going to go all the way for a new truck.. or new tranny which ever is really possible..

Im also going to ask my dealer for a maintenace plan.. or at least a couple oil changes.. since they didnt caught this in Pre inspection..
