Good job OP, thanks for posting. I just ordered a 2017 about an hour ago; this will be my third Raptor. The long wait now begins.

If I get 17 MPG combined, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Good morning folks,

New here but I've been a stalker for a few months keeping track of Gen 2 info. I don't have a Raptor yet but I plan to trade my '13 Mustang GT on one. I am her in Oshkosh at EAA Airventure and Ford has a huge booth. I haven't seen some of the hood graphics and side graphics yet. And, I know new pics are like crack to us that want these things. So, I snapped a few for you all to see. The hood sticker looks way way over priced. The bedside is nice enough to put me on the fence about it. The tailgate has too much of a stick on, plastic look for me. They wouldn't open the door for me so I did the best I could. The blue one sealed the deal for me. That's my color, for sure.

Enjoy everyone.

Pictures!!!

While viewing the blue Raptor brochure page at the bottom there is a reference to EAA membership. Does this allow discounts for Raptors?

I just don't see these things getting that mileage. If you drive a Gen1 around at 55 mph, 18 mpg is possible. Illinois is the 2nd flattest state in the US and the best I've ever got was 16 mpg. Even with 35" tires, the Gen2 will still be lugging around a lot of weight. 500 lb lighter is impressive, but the displacement going down will eliminate that advantage, IMO.

Nobody is gonna be driving these around like a grandma. Everyone is gonna be in the throttle to get what little exhaust note they can squeeze out of the TTV6. I expect mileage to be around the same as the 6.2 because of that. Sure, some guys are gonna drive them around the speed limit just to run the numbers up and brag about it, but I would venture to guess that most will be in throttle running the crap out of them to show how fast they are.

We will wait and see, but my $.02 is that the mileage will comparable to the 6.2. Maybe a little better on the highway, but these trucks are made for the right lane on the highway......

Max tow?
Snow plow prep?
Park assist?

None of that is on the order guide.

Obviously in some scenarios youre not going to get posted mpg.

The truck isnt always going to be run like it would be in the sand dunes either. My families cabin is 75 miles away from my house so roughly a 150 mile round trip so best case driving will net me 2.86 gallons of fuel savings compared to the 6.2. I dunno about you but Ill take a free $6 every trip I take. I dont drive like a maniac on twisty mountain roads with no guard rails so best case scenario driving is pretty easy to obtain.

End of the day its not a bad thing it can possibly get better gas mileage.

No one will probably know epa estimates anyways since Ford doesnt know how to give information to their potential customers.

Thanks for sharing! Really appreciate it. This will help with deciding on options. I ordered the other day but still have lots of time to make changes. I ordered the tailgate applique but I am not 100% sold on it. Ordered the beadlocks as well, they look nice in your pics but are a pricey option.

I was in Oshkosh all last week. Wish I knew, I would have stopped in. The airshow was cool to see though.
