the main screens are all fine, but if you have ever rooted a android device you know the screen im talking about

it is the android bootloader screen. i have to hit the tiny reset button to get it to go back to the system

yeah, same results as last time i tried to install it. It recognizes it, reboots acts like its going to start but then flips to the android boot load screen that is sideways.

doing it with the truck running file as its downloaded on the root of the USB, so not sure what else to do

I believe that is normal watch this video:

when I reloaded mine from scratch the screen went sideways. after that installs you need the xml file on a usb(without the px6_format.zip file) and go to settings and reset should say 'restore to factory settings"

i did that last time, minus the xml thingy. had to figure out how to set everything from FN scratch, took a while.

so, you cannot do a PX6 upgrade without changing it to "format" and wiping the thing?

Im in the same boat. Every PX6.zip update I have tried, kicks me to the Android bootloader screen.

Update: I see the .xml file is one of the files that gets exported to the USB drive on the list. They also have a video on importing settings. So looks like its 1.) Export, 2.) Format, 3.) Import and that should help. I will try it later today and report back.

Update 2: Everything went smooth, after I made sure to use a FAT32 thumb drive (I even named it "PHOENIX WEI" like they had it in the video) Once it is done formatting and upating, remove the USB and let it load/reboot a few times. Mine did 2 more reboots than shown in the video, but after it loaded and I imported factory settings with my backup USB, it looks just like I left it.

Right off the bat, I noticed it has fixed several issues I had with audio switching between SYNC3 and Nova Launcher/Amazon Music/Pandora/YouTube. Now, when I use the "customize" shortcut to take me to Nova, it switches audio immediately, where it didn't before. I haven't gone through and setup all my apps yet, but just fixing the audio alone makes me happy.

ok, did the px6 format, then reloaded my settings, it brought most stuff back, not nearly as bad as it was last time with no settings. No change, so i reran the R7** .bin and the simplecan, still no change.

not sure what im missing, but when i touch music and it plays a song off the usb drive, the steering wheel controls only advance the radio presets in Console.

My steering wheel controls have only EVER controlled SYNC3 "Console" settings, whether its Android Auto, Syrius, or a USB stick plugged into factory ports.


Later today, my Nova Launcher went back to the same deal- in order to get audio to switch from Sync 3 to Nova, or any of the app shortcuts on my Nova Launcher homepage, I have to select "Apps" from the top bar, then select Nova Launcher. I can't use the "customize" slot, or just pressing Home icon in bottom-left to take me to Nova, neither of those 2 options will get the system to switch audio output from Sync3 system... Grr...

Anyone else having trouble with Google services on the tablet?

-Mail won't sync on newest Gmail versio
-Contacts from account won't sync with contacts app
-Cant uninstall the Gmail app to start over.
-"ok google" will not make calls

Any ideas would be appreciated!
