OK this is a game changer! Being able to run waze natively through the tablet and split screen with the sync 3 interface is AWESOME SAUCE. Now if there was a way to remove whatever that border is around the sync interface, that would be even better. I am one of those who loves carplay, but I don't need it taking up the whole OEM screen all the time. Now I can have my cake (waze running) and use sync at the same time. This alone is well worth it for me.

That’s looking pretty nice. Waze or other native app in running in half the screen and then your Sync or Carplay below. I wonder if the 2021’s will be able to do this? I heard something about split screen as well. One thing that kinda sucks about the current gen Sync. One or the other. Infancy integration.

The images I've seen of sync4 is a split screen that has radio functions on the left and your phone/BT connection on the right. I would guess that you could also do a split involving navigation, but haven't seen a demo to confirm that.

Pretty sure you can't. Some of the skins have different arrangement of the icons though. I think you can remove some icons and you definitely can assign some of the icons to specific apps.

So the ticket is hiding the top menu bar! I like the bottom one always there though but can hide that too. The bummer is, even if you choose to hide both top and bottom bars in split screen mode, the bars are present. I'm guessing it's a formatting limitation.

What’s the resolution of these tablets? Would more real estate be beneficial? Or will the items get to small at that point?

1024x768. Could be better for sure but, for a car it's totally fine. The new processor and RAM really make this unit miles above the PX3.

Yea being able to configure bar hiding by app is nice. The ones that can support it look great and the ones that can’t also look fine.

Youtube TV works great Bug today, Sync went ****, no visual and no sound. I did 2 push resets but no change. After the truck sat for a couple hours it was back to normal. Weird.

Sounds like Sync finally reset. I’ve had an occasional carplay/sync freeze up or things just out of whack. Until you shutdown the truck and let it sit a while, it wouldn’t reset. Of course the soft reset option wouldn’t work for you with no sync hard buttons available anymore.
