Update:

They fixed CarPlay today. They sent an updated CarPlay app that completely corrected the issue and it’s as large and brilliant as you’d hope.

Dare I say it... with the new cable and the factory nav fixed.... the 4th gen tablet is out of this world.



It took what the PX3 had and turned it into something that’s not good... it’s fantastic.

It’s worth every penny. I highly recommend this thing.

Does the PX6 have a sim card slot so you could insert a sim card and use cellular data directly from the tablet?

It's not needed, since you can add a wifi hotspot for the car through Ford or direct from a service. That allows sync 3 to connect as well as the tablet, and anything else in the vehicle.

currently when you auto start the truck, it turns on the cooling seats and ac (warm weather), does this no longer function with the screen? I can’t imagine it would stop since that’s part of sync, but just want to verify

I wasn't aware of this. Only had the truck a couple weeks and still learning every day!

Several have asked about changing the color of the Raptor... I found these directions associated with the PX3, I'm assuming the same could be done on the PX6 with a resolution change. Now we need to find out how to change the wallpaper and remove the Ferris Wheel

HOW TO CHANGE THE CAR PICTURE ON THE SCREEN OF PX3 VERTICAL SCREEN HEAD UNITS
Lots of people asked about the question. Previously, we had to modify the firmware to do that, and we could not accommodate many of the requests. Now people can do that easily by themselves. Here are the INSTRUCTIONS: Make an png format picture of size 740*313 pixels and name it as ZXWLOGO.png. Usually, it should be a picture of a vehicle you'd like to put on the screen with transparent background. Put the picture in the internal sdcard(/sdcard in file manager), and the desired image will be displayed on the screen upon rebooting.

Good to hear! So, are you using the added dongle for the full screen carplay?

You guys put a screen protector on your PX6? I saw in another thread that people were using NuShield screen protectors (Day view model) on their stock 8" Sync3 screens.

I use one on my px3. I just got a anti glare iPad Pro screen protector and cut it down to size. It protects the screen and leave the mic and reset button uncovered.

yes on trucks with 802A pkg you can remote start the truck using the key fob, ford app and Alexa - all of which have the ability to turn on ac and cooled seats in the summer and heated seats, steering wheel and vents in the winter.

I got mine to work, but it seems that it doesn't change the image on the "Console" screen, where it shows the Raptor and RPM/MPH gauges. So, really kind of pointless.
