Thank you. I will try re-applying the MCU update as well. Forum member GLT was kind enough to send me his exported settings, and it got my SYNC3 back, however I cannot touch any of the buttons, and the Sync 3 display is shifted slightly to the left, and cut off about 1". So this is still a work in progress. That's what I get for not leaving well enough alone.
Did yours look like this?

No MCU was showing

No, it did not.

Under InstallSet, there was a setting along the lines of 'Use Interface 8836' (trying to remember) and it was set to "OFF" I had a fellow member send me his backup, and I noticed when used the Restore feature, with his backup, that changed to 'ON' and the Sync interface was back, however, the reason it was not displayed correctly, is that under InstallSet->Type->F150HI-> it was set to Sync2. Once I switched it to S3, everything was back to normal.

It is a supportted feature, yes. However, one of the potential bugs is that the console screen is flickering, making the cameras less useful. For me currently, the cameras do not come on when they should, unless the android is currently booting...and it's still flickering.

I had a ticket logged for this, for over a month, and I finally got a response, so maybe I'll have my issues fixed. They provided a PX6 and MCU update, but I'm not sure if this is the same updates I've already done. No xml files was provided. They are sending me a new decoder box, so that's something.

As someone who's done IT support work for much of my life, I find they're level of support to be downright embarrassing. Not only are they a month behind, but they are closing tickets before even confirming whether the issue has actually been resolved.

I am really enjoying the tablet though, despite all the bugs. If I were chosing to do it all over again, I'm not 100% sure that I would. I am somewhat hoping that they come out with a PX9 next summer. Faster processor would be nice, but mostly I want to see a higher android version that's significantly more bug free.

Spent the day with support for this exact issue yesterday, the reverse camera did not activate, I was sent a few files on a flash then did, "Factory reset" and now it works fine. You may want to try doing a factory reset, might be enough to re-activate your camera. I will be installing my 360 camera this weekend. I have 2013 F150 Sync2 Auto, if you want the files i can send them over.

After reviewing the spreadsheet, I noticed these lines:

View attachment 136742

if changed to NO, the icons no longer show up on the upper tool bar?

Thanks

That is correct. It helps clean up the toolbar, removing features you might no longer use. Combine that with the ability to assign icons like the radio to the specific you want to use, and the toolbar itself is a lot more functional. For me now, the phone icon is the only one I do not use, and that's just because my bluetooth isn't working.

When you say you spent the day with support, do you mean over the phone? Were you able to apply to stay in relative contact with them during the troubleshooting process? I'm hesitant to contact them as I don't want to wait on hold only to be told to just try this file. I'd really like them to stay with me till the problem is solved.

Factory reset is probably something worth trying. I do have all my configurations in place, so they can be restored...with time. I should have time this weekend.

I got some files from them dated 12/25/19. Based on the posts above, it seems like there might be an even more updated version available to try.

To summarize again, my two issues are:
- Bluetooth is not working. The PX6 does not seem to find any BT devices nearby, and my phone cannot see the PX6. There is a configuration where you select which model BT to use, and I suspect I have that wrong. Perhaps the wrong driver is being used.

- Camera is not coming on (except during bootup) and is usually flickering. It is odd as the touchscreen locks when the camera should be on, as if it recognizes that camera should be shown, but it is not able to pull up the camera.

I upgraded my PX3 to the PX6 a few weeks ago and it's been awesome. Now that I have a good feel on it's performance, I decided to do the hidden Top and Bottom bar tweak. It's pretty easy and straight forward. I have gone an extra step and set two tasker tasks and linked them to shortcuts so I can quickly enable the full-screen mode and then disable it if needed. The full screen works on everything except for when split screen is used. The top and bottom bars will appear no matter the setting. Overall, I love the full screen over the top and bottom bars that come on the unit.

Best part is, nothing is hardcoded that would permanently alter the unit as its just a setting.. It does retain the setting after a reboot as well.

here is a quick video demo of what it does. I know some of you were concerned if it was permanent or not.
