Anyone have their px6 flip to a "tv" screen randomly? Doesnt happen much , just a couple of times, but dont even know where that screen comes fr ok m
I’ve had YouTube go to the next video before the playing one is finished and randomly go to a small window player while the tablet goes to the home screen. Not sure what that’s all about.

Hmm, all in all, other than some inconsistency and not being able to advance songs on pandora, and having no options to advance songs at all, it works pretty well.

That's strange. I'm making some videos focusing on Audio & Video streaming services that work with the PX6.

I have tried Pandora, YT Music, Amazon Music, Spotify and the all will go to next track using steering wheel controls.

Keep in mind, I have a 2015 F150 that had the Sync 2 unit and Sony System.

Well, your truck is 80 years newer than mine, so...

But seriously I need to try regular pandora, I'm just spoiled with my hacked version on my phone.

Helped them test out the new canbus boxes over the weekend. There were 3 to choose from and after listening to all 3, there was only 1 that stood out as being significantly better than the others. The other 2 boxes all had signs of having too much gain and causing that distorted crackle sound, even when listening at volume levels between 5-10.

I have a stock 2018 B&O system, and like to listen to loud music (more bass the better), and with the new canbus box I didn't notice any any of the previous distortion issues when playing Pandora or USB music through the tablet. Listening to music between volume levels 10-15 sound way better than before. At these levels I can't make out any distortion, and if there is any it's hard to tell.

On another note, the new software allows you to reorder the top menu (Navigation, Console, Music, etc.) to your liking by long pressing an icon and then dragging it to the position you want it. Icons are still the same and un-editable, but this is a nice feature they added.

Gtibbot mentioned above that the built-in Android Auto (AA) screen only uses 1/2 the tablet. As an option, those AA dongles that you can get from Amazon, will make the navigation screen is slightly larger at about maybe 3/4 of the tablet screen. However, there is a black letterbox effect at top and bottom of the screen which take up the remaining 1/4, which sort of sucks. IMO the best choice of navigation is using the one that's on the tablet itself and having a WIFI connection.

Hope this helps to keep everyone updated.

Any news about this? I would like a new CanBus adapter. Not sure if something is wrong with mine-

My rear parking sensors still work on the screen, but there is no audio. Tried re-applying simplecanupdate.bin but still doesnt play the audible beeps. The music volume automatically drops, but before it would mute all audio, and play beeps the closer you got. Now, I just get the colored lines on the screen at the rear of my truck, and the rear camera feed.

I took some time this weekend to do a 2-part video walk though of the PX6 installed in my 2015 F150. Production value is very amateur, I did no editing at all except combine the separate videos, but maybe someone will find some value in them.

I touch on 2 problems that I’m having with the unit.

1) Either the PX6 or the Sync2 changes the Sync2 Source when switching between the 2.

2) Microphone not working on the PX6. Solved!!!

If anyone has a resolution to either problem, please let me know.

If there is enough interest, I will do a follow up on Audio/Video streaming applications.

Would y’all recommend this screen over the more expensive options like this one:

It seems like this one has bugs, but at least it is continuously being worked out. So all options for the big screen in-dash have issues? Which is the “best”?

That's Linkswell. There have been a few people try that on here and I don't think it was too highly recommended. Personally, I don't like the look of this. I don't want to lose the hard AC controls, in addition to radio controls. The OS interface looks basically black and white.

That said, I can't really recommend Phoenix to anyone either, without the caveat that it will be buggy, and you're going to have to learn to live with that. I like mine for the most part, but there certainly are some bugs that are rather annoying. I haven't really wanted to go through the effort of trying to troubleshoot this yet.

I would recommend holding off if you can. As you stated, they are working to fix bugs and there may come a point where it's stable enough. I also wondering if there is going to be a better designed and tested unit coming out by a traditional car audio maker in the next year or two.
