CarPlay Direct to the tablet with the USB dongle if you feel the need.
There are times I use carplay.

So I used CPU z and did confirm the specs. It’s 7.1.1 android with 2 gigs of ram and it is the rock chip that’s advertised.
But further... mine came with ROOT ACCESS.
Now that offers up some interesting possibilities.
I appreciate the help troubleshooting.
Try this... disconnect the white connector and additional “connectors” at the top of the tablet. The ones not connecting to sync 3.
See if that fixes the nav by taking away the tablet. If the nav is still busted it’s interference being created by the T harness itself.
I planned on enabling the built-in hotspot in my truck through AT&T as I didn't want the hassle of tethering either. Before I enabled it, I thought I would try tethering since my T-Mobile plan. Includes 10gb of data when tethering. I use Tasker to turn on my phone's hotspot whenever it connects to my truck's Bluetooth and it works perfectly. By the time I have backed out of my garage, the Phoenix unit has connected to my wifi so I will probably not enable the built-in hotspot.Guy how much data have you been using on that Harlan with day to day usage? I bailed on the T-mobile version of that since it was only 2 gigs and I could easily see myself going over that. Tethering to the phone has been a bit annoying though, probably works 75% of the time, the other 25% I have to fiddle around with it to get a connection.
GCATX,So, I have updated the px3 and simplecanupdate files. Are the last two from the dropbox needed?
