GEN 2 Permanent ORV Flag Mount Question

I wish they would allow a flag anywhere at silver lake. I want to go there so bad. Is there a good temporary mount for the front tow hooks?

Yeah I have the tow hook one and after a couple hours it loosens up every damn time and falls forward or starts smacking the front of the truck.

I use a short (12") bungee cord and wrap it around the flag a few times then hook the ends in my grille. This holds the flag against the truck at all times so no smacking. (I also use a section of those foam pool noodles around the pole to prevent any scratches).

Works sweet. Had to test it out this week. Made it out of 3/16 stainless steel. I made a long one and a short one. The long one is in the pics at the dunes and with the cover off. The short one would have worked (the pic in my garage... sideways for some reason). Need to make one half way between the two (goldilocks syndrome).

Got a quote on the plastic piece that you need to put the slot in. $65

The ones that mount to the tow hooks look so crude. Looks like the flag would beat the crap out of the truck. Can a manufacture not make a better tow hook mount? Gorilla whips make a nice looking mount, but is way to short for tow hook application.
