OK I did the Daystar and I know it says 2" but it's not. It's only a 1.5" lift and yes I had to cut the bolts to install.
The worst part of the whole job was trying to get the shocks back into the lower control arm..
DAMN WHAT A BITCH.
It took me about 5 hours to do it because I didn't have all the stuff I needed on hand.
First side was interesting but the second went very smooth after I knew what I was doing.
The ride quality is still the same as stock, just HIGHER.:D
I love it now but was cringing at cutting the bolts. lol

Not sure if this is more middle or top perch.

Didn't people with the level KITS have issues with the suspension rubbing on full drop pretty bad? I think the upper control arms hit.

I have had mine airborne a few times and did not hear the click of them hitting at full extension like i used to hear with my 2500HD everytime i went off a curb, so I would say there is no issue. GO FOR IT!

I totally agree, I was kinda upset about the "2 inch" lift being 1.5
What a pain to get the shocks back in too!.
But man, I had mid & then top perch, but the front levelling kit is WWAAAYYY BETTER!:peace:

Ironman, that measures out very close to mine, which is mid-perch. I would like to go higher but don't want to do top perch. Anyone have thoughts on leaving at mid perch and adding the Daystar? Based on my rough measurements, that would make my front about 1" higher than the back (assuming my Daystar install adds 1.5").

I've got the Truxx kit and I like it same ride just have a nice even stance now. I will say that if you jump it the top arm will kit slightly but it was only one side from what i can tell due to scuff marks. I had the dealership put mine on due to couldn't get enough drop to get the shock and spring out. Also it will need realigned. It drives straight as a string with no problems of odd tire wear. I have over 17k on mine with the Truxx and tires. Also running a bumper that is less than 80 lbs but don't know how much more that is than stock. I think if you jump your truck a lot then do the perch but if you don't jump it much i feel the level is the way.

100% total opinion on which one to use when.
