Gotta ask the newb question ....

Dang! How is the new bumper replacement going? Decide not to go aftermarket?

Already done, got a replacement for now. Yeah secretly looking at the LGE*CTS Baja one with the winch option as trying to keep it from my wife....

Have you made it in to the dealership yet, ZBoater? Keep us posted on what you hear.

I had it rebalanced today at the place that installed the tires. Seems to have fixed it, but it's raining so I haven't been able to give it a good test. ;)

I go in on Monday to my local shop to get the midperch mod done. I ordered a set of 5 Method NV's in 18x9 +18mm and Toyo MTs in 315/70/18. Local shop will move my truck to midperch on Monday morning and then I will have an alignment done and new wheels/tires put on. Cant wait!

I ordered a set of 5 wheels and tires so I can rotate the spare into the rotation and hopefully extend the life and keep wear consistent.

I want to maintain the factory rake of my truck and I am not a fan of the prerunner (butt down, nose up) look. So I also ordered a new block for the rear that adjusts from a 1" lift over stock to a 1.5" or 2" over stock - my plan is to the have the shop first do the midperch in the front and we will measure how much the height increased, then have them put the new blocks in the back at the same height increase to keep the factory rake. Block kit I ordered was: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/prl-52-3000f It arrived yesterday and I have never messed with blocks before but I was shocked at how heavy the box was - shipping weight listed on the box was something like 39 lbs...my wife went to carry in the box from the front door and was like WTF did you order lol.

Will post some pics once everything is completed on Monday. I am going to stay at the shop while they do the work and I think they will let me take some pics as they go along. Shop doing the work is Automotive Concepts (Thanks Bussy for the referral!) and they have worked on Raptors before.

Mid perch won't be giving you a butt down look.

I think it will when towing our boat or have the bed loaded...right now, on stock perch, when towing our boat it sits just level.

Even when not towing, I guess I just prefer the raked look.

If your really worried you could upgrade your springs and it wont squat as much when towing

I thought of that but don't want to change the ride quality when not towing...I know, cake and eat it too...and I don't want to worry about sag down the road.

I thought the higher rear block as its only $135 vs. progressive springs at $1000+ would be a good gamble, I can always take the block kit back out and sell it if I don't need it or want to add a leaf or go full progressive springs.

I am thinking that I will only want to set the block pattern to be 1" higher than stock to keep a rake, maybe not as much rake as factory...

My truck stock measures 40.25" in the front to the top of the wheel well and 43.75" in the rear to the top of the wheel well...The front mid perch will raise the front more than the 1" block will in the rear so while raked, I shouldn't be as raked as factory.

I will have the shop do the front mid perch first, then we will probably drive a bit to settle everything, then measure the front and based on that change, we will do the rear block change.

So I assume you are running a tpms in the spare also?
