I don't know, I haven't seen the middle or top perch mod in person, but every single one in pics with the top perch mod with stock rear leafs looks nose up to me. Not much, but it doesn't take much at all to throw the stance off to me visually. And since I plan on towing and using it as a truck, the back end isn't going to be empty all the time, and I really don't want that squatted rear look towing a trailer where it looks like the truck is ready to flip.

I may just rent the spring compressors and try the middlel perch at home. If I like the way it looks, just have it aligned. If I don't, I'l just have the alignment shop do it. I'm too cheap to pay twice so I need to figure something out!

Mr Bird when you have an extra minute can you post your front ride height on the top perch?
First of kudos to the dealer for actually doing the right thing and retaining a customer, but the mechanic that hit the perch mount with a hammer is an idiot and should go back to doing oil changes at jiffy lube.
I did my own adjustment to the top perch and with the a precise placement of a block of wood I was able to move them up without removing them from the truck, the hardest part is that it is impossible to put the coil spring compressors on the opposite sides of the coils and it allows them to bow out and can bind on the perch when dropping the lower a arm, after i noticed it on the first one I slid a block of wood behind the spring and shock tower and it went smooth as butter after that.
No need for any kind of hammer at all, the block of wood helps to hold the spring up so that you can move the perch up without holding the weight of it with one hand and moving the perch with the other.

Sounds like you have a stand up dealership and you were right not to toss them without giving them a chance. I would keep my relationship with that place regardless of this bad situation.

Sounds kind of dangerous to me, like maybe lose some fingers dangerous. Everything I have read calls for removing them from the truck then safely compressing the spring. Safety first.

For those requested it (knine & troycrna?), I finally got around to talking to my mechanic!
He said he will do the perch mod adjustment, and should be no problem at all for him as he's done a few tube truck suspensions.
we completely trust him as he's work on anything from our dd's to the 67' cobra to the multiple high performance buggys we run...
Now for the price... approx. $200.00... (pretty reasonable to me) he has not worked on a raptor yet, so this quote is for about 3 hours of labor, (No alignment, But he can point you in the right direction to the shop he uses.) So price may change a lil bit after the first raptor is done and he has a better idea of how long it will take.
Im not sure if I should post his cell number or not, being that he's a family friend I don't want him to be bombarded by tons of calls, so pm me and il get you set up... or if that sounds retarded to everyone il post it up in this post...
