That's how the car selling business's is changing. Used to be the car salesman sells you on a car but now almost everyone goes in knowing what they what, what options and already did their homework on it. So they just need to negotiate a price. Car salesmen
is a dying breed.

In the traditional sense, yes. But there will always be a place for a car salesman who takes care of his customers and makes the entire process of dropping $50k on a vehicle as painless as possible. There is a reason I'm driving 300 miles to Baton Rouge from Houston to buy my Raptor. The finance manager at this dealership knows his shit and doesn't try to screw with you on the home stretch. He wants you to be happy and to be out on the road enjoying your new car. Hell, we have even tailgated at LSU games together. I don't know many car salesman that I want to see again after I leave a dealership and this is a guy that I've shared beers with. Those kind of car salesman won't die and will always have a place in dealerships IMO.

I'm still waiting for someone smarter than me to tell me that there is no pitfalls. I know that Jamal Hameedi the SVT Chief Engineer said that it should stay on bottom perch as that is what is was designed for. Why? What's the pitfall of mid perch???

Yep, I'm debating mid-perch as well. Trying to find out the long term effects, if any... also, does mid-perch void the warranty?

My dealer has said they would do it from day 1 if I want it. I don't think they've ever had anyone request it but they are really good to work with and since it's a small town, everyone knows everyone. I'm like you. Is there added stress to the components that others have had issues with on top perch (for 2012 and 2013) just not as much or none at all. If there is added stress to the CV joints or whatever, I'd probably either leave it alone, strengthen the other components or wait til I upgrade to ICON shocks or maybe RPG Stage 4+.

I'm right there with you. Have an old 2dr tahoe and after cranking the torsion bars, it added a lot of stress to all the front suspension components.

I know the raptor is not designed the same way and mid perch is quite different, but still a concern especially with the Torsens now on the new models.

here, on frf
Go to the mid perch. It was tested on that level from Fox and is at the happy point in it's effective ride zone.
when you say fox tested it, was it on the truck, or was it set at mid and emulated by a machine? damn, they are a mile away, i should go bug them. i heard all the shocks built for our trucks were made here in the watsonville headquarters.

They are built in Watsonville. From what I have always been told, the pre-production testing was done at mid perch settings shock location. Then DOT regulations got the best of the ride height or something.
