They have to have a different rate spring for Scab and Screw. The trucks are not the same weight

Yup, I have a set of SCrew shocks on the rear of mine, they are slightly stiffer.

I believe they are valved differently and the coils are different spring rates...I might be wrong. It happened once in 1997.

So im still having trouble weighing the pro's vs the con's of this modification... why did it not come from the factory with top or mid perch?

Can some one give me the reasons to do this mod?
or not do this mod?

I believe one reason it didn't come from FORD like this is because of the bumper height restrictions federal & state laws mandate, so that we don't run over Prius. I'm sure there are other reasons as well.

with it on bottom it nose dives that is the only reason to go mid perch. most that have gone top put it to mid I would say the majority like the mid the best. you still have some that say top is best but I have yet to hear any one say I wish I would have left it bottom. bottom imo is more of a car ride mid more of a truck ride. so to recap bottom squashy softer ride mid a bit more firm still a very nice ride IMO but you can feel a bit more. top some one else would have to fill in.
jumping bottom not as fun as mid perch. with mid perch imo a much nicer landing less worry about bottoming out. besides it's only 2 tanks of gas to try it.

So in another words high speed berms/ aka speed humps (not bumps) would not be able to be taken at 70 any more if i moved to mid perch?

I think the softness of the shocks is something that was meant to be... but Im still learning about this mod before i jump in and do it.

the Shock is basically being stiffened by moving to mid perch is what i understand... so far... please correct me if im wrong

you can still take it at 80.
yes it is a tad stiffer (she likes it that way!)
look at the front shock you can see the rib the ring is in holding the spring I'm not sure of the measurements but think 1.5''
It is something you'll just have to try I am surprised at how well I liked it. On that note I"m glad I did it the best mod that surprised me how well I like it.
If you could find some one's truck to check out
