What are people paying for the mid perch mod at a Ford Dealer? (If they'll even do it)

My local dealer is telling me 1.5 hours labor each side (they're quoting their strut work labor charge). He says over $300 just in labor. I'm pushing them for $350 out the door with alignment.

Thanks

I paid $400 at a dealership. I know I could have saved money going elsewhere, but my warranty was more important to me than saving the ~$100.

I doubt having another shop do it will void your warranty. I mean the service guy at the Ford dealership suggested I go third party. I found a place in North County San Diego that will do it for $150 not including alighnment. The Ford service guy said he'd do the alignment for $60. So I'm looking at $210 all done.

I called ford and they said it would still be under the warranty. Checked first. Although I'm pretty sure future mods will kill warranty. Oh we'll, you pay to play.

Yeah, I think it was ******** up the rear suspension too. That really seemed to compress a lot more when the front was on the top perch. Now that the front is a little lower, the back end seems to handle better. I spent about 6 months stock, then about 6 months at top. Kind pissed that I had to pay twice for the adjustment but at least now I'll never wonder. Middle is where it's at...

Also, no more bind in the steering. It wasn't bad but it was sure pushincg the limits of that front suspension to have it cranked up like that. I'm much happier at mid perch even if it is a little nosed down still.

I would like to go to mid perch right way. I check with the local 4wheelparts store and they dont do the perch adjustment anymore. They said it is too much of a liability. Oh well. Any suggestions in the Houston market to get that done? I assume the dealer can do it if worse come to worse.
