Mid perch???

I called two Ford dealerships and either one of them had no idea what a MID perch adjustment was, one said they could adjust the shocks, however it would not raise the truck. Am i so confused or is a mid perch the same as the Ford techs saying they can adjust the shocks?

I guess my real question is, is there another name for what we are referring to a mid perch?

Is adjusting the front shock the same as a mid perch adjustment? And does it raise the front end by 2", the same as a leveling kit would?

Thank you.

I went to an offroad shop and asked them. They didn't know what the hell I was talking about and said it is a lot of work (right there was my red flag). They told me it had to be done at a dealer. Went to my neighbor dealer and they also made it seem like a big deal and didn't quite get it. Too many red flags for me when they don't know what you are talking about.

I ended up going to Firestone and showed the manager the 10 minute RPG video and said they could do that. I was able to go back in the shop as often as I wanted to watch and chat with the tech. I also bought their lifetime alignment.

Ok, Is it the same as a shock adjustment, both dealerships were baffled! I spent hours on the phone trying to find out if either dealership could it! Is there another name or reference that a dealership would refer to this adjustment!

Why do you have to have it done at a dealership?

Here is what the dealerships have about it from Ford:

TSB SSM 44422 - EFFECTIVE 2/14/2014:
2010-2014 F-150 Raptor only - the front and rear shock absorber assemblies are non-adjustable. Attempting to make adjustments to the front and rear shock absorber assemblies will alter the ride height and suspension control outside of factory design specifications. Refer to Warranty and policy manual for alter vehicle policies.

its well documented here that Ford stealerships have no clue what this mod is and Ford does not want them doing it anyway.

there are write ups on here on how to do it. if u are not able to do it yourself take it to a shop that can, even if u have to print out an how to and bring it to them. remember u need an alignment when the mod is done.

if u take it to a shop it shouldnt be too much to do. KHC charges $250 with alignment. that is a discounted price i think so expect to pay $250-350. if its more than that i would go somewhere else as its a pretty simple mod

Yep, different trucks. The one on the left is mine and the SVT vent inserts are actually blue. It was a failed attempt to tie in some of the blue interior package to the exterior of the truck, but the blue is too dark and everyone thinks it's black.

Thanks for posting the mid perch pics vs stock. That really helps me see the difference.

You said you did the mid perch and installed 37s , did you notice any rubbing ?

Any competent suspension and alignment shop should be able to do it. I think the one here charges $200 to do a midperch and realign the truck.
