So I contacted my local ford dealer in so cal to inquiry about a mid perch adjustment to see how much it would be and after 2 phone calls and wanting my vin number they told (and sent me a fax) from ford that stated the 2010-2013 fox suspension is not adjustable and any adjustment made would void the warranty. I am inquiring about a couple things
1. Who in so cal has gotten a perch adjustment from a ford dealer
2. Did they give you any issues. I know there was another thread about a guy that went to ford and they tried charging an arm and a leg.

What really has me mad now is hat guys have said from ford that it doesn't void the warranty. Any help on this issue would be great.

Both off road warehouse and 4 wheel parts said they would do it but I was looking to go to ford so there would not be any issues in the future, but I might be screwed

IMHO, find another dealer. I'm hoping someone from your area will tell you where to get it done. There are 2 dealers by me in Denver that are OK with it, and 1 that "claims" it will void your warranty. Bottom line, they can't! ..unless the mid perch adjustment is the cause of a failure of other parts. They will have to prove that as well if anything did happen.

good luck on search. just make sure whoever does it has done one or two before.

Had mine done last week by my FORD dealer. Initially they had NO CLUE what I was talking about. NO IDEA. But I took the mid perch adjustment step by step (with pix) instructions from here on the FRF and went in and met with their suspension guy. He said he had never done one but it didnt look bad at all. Took and in and he had NO problem at all. They charged me $250 which included alignment. ANY suspension guy should be able to it. My dealer just doesnt see many Raptors. It definitely doesnt void the warranty - if you ever took it in they would never even know a perch adjustment had ever been done.

Yeah when I told the guy initially I needed a perch adjustment he got the suspension guy and the dude came out and got under the REAR of my truck. I said "no - the FRONT shocks is where the adjustment is being made"!!! And he are talking a $55k truck??? THe service manager said "ask your forum memebers these questions - and he had about 4 of them!!!!!:lol2:

Initially they were so clueless I told them that the adjustment was most likely covered under warranty and they had bought right in.

One of the mechanics at the dealership I went through has a Raptor himself. He agreed to do my mid perch for $100, but I think it will be money paid directly to him. Have to get alignment done elsewhere and it sounds like that will run me $80 at either of two places in town.

Couldn't agree more, I was in my local dealer last week trying to buy some oil and filters. The parts guy " been there many years" asked what year my Raffter was?? Yes Raffter, then asked if my 6.2 was a diesel!! Seriously???

Find a different dealer and maybe bring some photos or instructions from here yo show the suspension guy incase he's unfamiliar.

With everyone saying the instructions on here are so good why dont you just do it yourself. Ive looked at the instructions and they are good. I havnt done it yet to the Raptor but I did a 2 inch lift on my xterra that was virtually the same steps as listed in the instructions on this site and it was super easy. Youd just have to find someone with a spring compressor or rent one.

Then just pay for the alignment. I plan on doing mine right before I take it in for its next factory service so they can realign at the same time.
