Based of feedback here, Yahoo Groups and 'over there', I'm calling this for the first weekend in Oct - 1/2/3.

I advise you to call Panamint Springs and reserve your room/RV slot/Camp site ASAP, as October marks the start of their busy season. They have AAA discounts to their posted rates. Or if you tell them "I'm with AndyR", they might give you some other discount!!!

Current plans are for a half day run Friday (afternoon), full day Saturday, and half day Sunday (morning)

Current list is:

AndyR
MMD
Bstoner59
Wbimota
Justin (Yahoo Groups)
RicJones (Yahoo Groups)
Tim (xjrguy - Yahoo Groups)

It's time to make reservations at the Panamint Springs Resort!

I'm planning on camping rather than staying in a room. We could do a group campsite. Either way, we need to make reservations!

Please confirm that you are going (or not going) so we have an idea on headcount.

Panamint Valley & Death Valley to run some of the 'quicker' trails.

Weekend of October 1-3 (October 1 is Friday)

We'll be based out of Panamint Springs, Motel/RV/Camping & lots of beer. http://www.deathvalley.com/psr/

The Friday run will be an afternoon/Sunset run to Aguereberry Pt. This is tops out at about 6500ft and gives great views of DV.

Saturday will be either a run down the entire length of Panamint Valley and up to Barker Ranch (Manson's old hangout) or a run around the Darwin Loop, or running Titus Canyon . Either of these will give you the opportunity to strech our your Raptor.

Sunday would be a morning run, to Skidoo or the Darwin loop depending on what we did on Saturday.

Here's a GE 'flight' around the Darwin section.

Panamint Valley is also a military active flyway. The guys out of China Lake use it to dogfight, practice straffing runs on cars travelling the valley, and other low altitude fun. They fly almost everything out there from B52s to F22s.

You can only shoot while driving a vehicle going over 27MPH on even numbered days with the windows up in locations where there are no living flora or fauna. It's California law.
