I saw a DIY thread on painting the "ford" letters on the grill.... Q is... What kind of paint is used?

And can that paint be used for other parts like the lettering on the badges etc?

paint chips easily, and then you'll have to sand the entire thing down smooth again, re-mask, and re-paint.

Vinyl is more durable, and if a piece gets chipped, peel it off, and slap a new letter on, way less prep, way less work, way less worry.

yes talk to designs N signs and get the vinyl for the "FORD" letters on the grille. mine have been on for a while and are holding up great and look good too!

Okay, thanks. I decided on vinyl then because I don't want to have all the prepping.

What else have you used vinyl stickers on?
